"The Mutineers of the Bounty" is a short story by Jules Verne, part of the series The Extraordinary Voyages. It is based on a true story a mutiny that occured on the Royal Navy vessel HMS Bounty in 1789. The ship had been sent to Tahiti, and the relations between Captain William Bligh and his crew quickly deteriorated, leading to increasingly harsh punishments and abuse. A cabal formed between the men, and one night, they overpowered the captain, seized the ship, and sent him and 18 of his loyalists out at sea to die.

A nameless hidalgo read so many chivalric romances that he loses his sanity and decides to set out into the world as a knight, to bring justice under the name Don Quixote. The delusional hidalgo then recruits a simple farmer, Sancho Panza, whose unique wit proves a marvelous addition to Don Quixote's idealistic bouts.

Victor Hugo is one of the best-known French writers, and is part of the greatest literary figures of all time. His poetry made him famous very early, cementing his reputation as one of the greatest lyric poets when he was only 20 years old. He was also a novelist and a dramatist, and furthered the cause of Romanticism, this exalted artistic movement which toyed with Sublime and soared on the winds of emotion.

Sympathischer Protagonist dieses Romans ist eine junge Himalaya-Katze, die im Laufe der Geschichte eine persönliche Wandlung erfährt. Als Straßenkatze wird sie von einem Mitarbeiter des Dalai Lama gerettet und erlebt hinter den Klostermauern in Dharamsala zahlreiche Abenteuer. His Holiness' Cat ist bei allen Unterweisungen und Gesprächen des Dalai Lama dabei.

Das wohl wichtigste Werk der deutschen Literatur als Hörbuch: Der Gelehrte Heinrich Faust befindet sich in seinem Streben nach Erkenntnis in einer tiefen Lebenskrise. Um aus dieser herauszukommen, lässt er sich auf eine Wette mit dem Teufel Mephisto ein, der ihn wieder in einen jungen Mann verwandelt. Doch dann verliebt er sich in das junge Gretchen, und die Tragödie nimmt ihren Lauf.
