In A Trucker's Tale, Ed Miller gives an inside look at the allure of the work and the colorful characters who haul our goods on the open road. He shares what it was like to grow up in a trucking family, his experience as an equipment officer in Vietnam, and the trials and tribulations of life as a trucker. I would like to take you on a journey. It’s going to be a journey across many oceans, over a lot of water but very much a journey of the human spirit. This is not a sailing story. It’s much more than that. My seven crew and I participated in the fatal 1998 Sydney to Hobart yacht race in which 6 men tragically died, 55 were rescued and a number of boats sank. On our boat, for 15 hours, we thought that we had found out how we were going to die. By a slim margin, we managed to survive that incredible cornerstone event in each of our lives.
