On today's Zero Limits Podcast host Matty Morris chats with Matt Nicholson Australian Army Reservist and NSW Police Officer

After leaving school Matt joined the Army reserves and into the Royal Australian Artillery corps. In 2007 Matt was accepted into the NSW Police and headed to the academy in 2008. Matt spent his career as a general duties officer and later on is his career moved into the Raptor task force.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast I chat with “Mort” former United States Marine Corp veteran and Ukraine Foreign Fighter.

Before heading over to the Ukraine Mort spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps however decided in 2024 to go to the Ukraine and join the International Foreign Legion. As described in Taz’s podcast Mort was alongside Taz when they encountered a Russian position whilst trying to retrieve a EW system.

Mort along with Tax were on a task where they encountered 10-12 Russian soldiers, to initiate the contact Mort was shot twice in the leg and Taz was shot 3 times. They had to do a fighting withdrawal with Taz dragging Mort roughly 500m with morts fighting from the ground after applying a TQ and at one point accepting that they were out numbered, out gunned and likely were going to get killed Mort started to destroy sensitive equipment.

On todays Zero Limits Podcast I chat with “TAZ” civilian chippy turned Ukraine Foreign Fighter.

Growing up in a small Aussie country town and after finishing high school Taz like most moved into the carpenter role aka chippy finishing his apprenticeship and during this time he also wanted to join the defence however was denied. After the war in Ukraine kicked off Taz went to the Ukraine to assist in rebuilding towns using his trade however after spending time in country he felt the need to assist further. Taz joined the International legion with no prior military experience and spent a couple of months in training learning the basics of being a soldier.
