    The Lexington Minutemen won their 7th straight game on Friday, 49-17, at Madison. Lex racked up close to 470 yards of total offense, 325 rushing from Markale Martin (107 yards, Joe Caudill 101 yards) to improve to 8-1 and remain unbeaten in the Ohio Cardinal Conference at 5-0. Caudill threw two TDs, a 59 yard pass to Seven Allen, who had close to 100 yards receiving and ran for a 14 yard TD and a 3 yard pass to Cole Eichorn. Martin and Brayden Fogle also ran for touchdowns for Lexington, who is averaging over 46 points per game in their win streak. Madison's Camden Moysi caught a TD from Colton Adkins, and Moysi booted a 48 yard field goal, which would have been good from 50 yards! Kaleb Gordon found the endzone for the Rams (2-7, 1-4) on a 14 yard run. This now sets up a winner take all OCC Championship game on Friday, October 24th, as Lexington (8-1, 5-0) hosts Ashland (9-0, 5-0). You can hear the game on WMAN.

  • High School Football - Week 8 - Shelby at Ontario - October 10th, 2025

    The Shelby Whippets improved to 8-0 on Friday and QB Brayden DeVito continues to put up historic numbers. DeVito accounted for 5 TDs in the Whippets, 42-0, win at Ontario to remain in 1st place in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference at 4-0. Brayden DeVito became the schools all-time career rushing touchdowns leader, passing Brennan Armstrong, with now 67 rushing TDs. DeVito also passed Joe Burrow and now is 6th all-time in Ohio High School Football history with over 11,500 yards passing. Brayden has over 14,000 all purpose yards in his career. DeVito threw 3 TD passes to 3 different receivers, Brady Bowman 37 yards, 7 yards to Avery Lambert and a 42 yard strike to Caseyn Koch. Brayden had TD runs of 4 yards and 1 yards to give him 38 TDs on the year.   • HS Football - Week 7 - Clear Fork at Shelby - October 3rd, 2025

    The Shelby Whippets offense racked up nearly 470 yards of offense and Shelby's defense scored twice in the Whippets impressive win, 52-14, on homecoming vs Clear Fork. Brayden DeVito accounted for 5 TDs, two rushing on long runs of 78 yards and 51 yards, while he threw 3 TD passes to Brady Bowman. Bowman had a 60 yard pick six on defense and hauled in 3 TD passes from DeVito, one of which he fumbled and scooped it up on the fly - going for a 65 yard score. Sam Gwirtz had the other defensive TD for Shelby, as the linebacker picked up a fumble, caused by defensive end Carter Kessler, and rolled 65 yards to the endzone. Clear Fork scored in 1st quarter on 7 yard run by QB Marcus Hoeflich and he had another great play, making two spin moves, on a 27 yard TD run in the 4th. The win for Shelby (7-0,4-0) is their 20th straight regular season win, 20th consecutive game of scoring 20 points or more and the Whippets 5th game in a row scoring 40 points or more. Friday was Shelby's 2nd time scoring 50+ points. The win puts Shelby all alone in 1st place in the MOAC.
