When my Aunt became one of the 1st in my family diagnosed with a rare blood protein disorder I could later develop, I learned about medical cannabis. Her story shows that hope even on the darkest of days of battling cancer , medical research has shown Cannabis can save lives. The symbol of the yellow butterfly is now a pin or sticker given out to raise awareness about Suicide & Mental Health Awareness. This was a difficult episode, but as the girl who inspired me to wear heels, run of middle school politics (unsuccessfully) and whose spirit always lingered in all I did.
