I am not here to debate, there are plenty of places for speaking right past one another. Nor am I here to judge. Here on the We Unite We Win Podcast User Generated America series I will speak to anyone willing to give me an hour of their time to share their clearly stated morals, ethics, religious beliefs (or lack of) and views on humanity that inform their personal approach to culture, politics and government.

The aim of the UGA Series is not to change anyone’s mind, I am doing this in the hopes that you, the listener, will join me in putting aside your assumptions and listen to the guest for an hour. Today’s guest is Richard Marano. Richard is a friend of the podcast’s previous guest, Phil Carroll, who if you recall is the son of Wylene Jowers, our first ever UGA guest. Richard grew up in Augusta, GA and now runs a bread and breakfast in nearby Harlem, GA. He offers his perspective on small town life and how he navigates through a community that does not share all of his beliefs.
