About this listen

Let's be real.

You may feel like your business owns you. You may feel uncomfortable that business has become stuffy, so you either dress up or don't show up. You are possibly on the roller coaster of wearing all the hats and wondering if it's time to close your doors.

  • Wait? How Did I Get Here?
    Nov 25 2025

    Buckle up, friends!

This one isn't exactly about business, but it also is.

Callie brought up a topic that, some may say, has become trending.

Mostly for women, and when we start coming into our 40s, and the conversation becomes…

"I'm tired. What am I doing with my life? I hate my career. Why did I pick what I picked? I went to school for this thing, and I got this degree, but it's not at all what I wanna do. Why did I do that? And, I can't start over. I'm at this place in my life where I can't start over. I only have 10 years till I retire or whatever it is. You know, 10, 15 years till I retire."

    Key Takeaways:

    • Where does this feeling come from?
    • Who made up the scoreboard that we're using?
    • Is self-worth something that's missing?

    Nov 19 2025

In this episode, we're answering a question from a customer's perspective:

"How to support entrepreneurs/small business owners"

We explore the misconceptions surrounding the financial aspects of small businesses, the need for community support, and the impact of consumerism. The conversation emphasizes the value of intentional shopping, understanding the true costs of products, and the role of social media in promoting small businesses.

We truly encourage listeners to be more mindful in their purchasing decisions and to find creative ways to support local businesses, even when financial constraints exist...even just a "hey, you're doing great!" comment

    Key Takeaways:

    • Understanding the financial challenges small businesses face is crucial.
    • Supporting small businesses requires intentionality and effort.
    • Consumerism has created a fast-paced environment that diminishes local businesses.
    • Quality products often come at a higher price but are worth the investment.
