    Daniel and Rob look back on the famous FA Cup final of 1977, when Tommy Docherty’s intrepid United ended Liverpool’s hopes of doing the Treble. Stuart Pearson and Jimmy Greenhoff (with considerable help from Lou Macari) scored as United won their first major trophy in nine years on a day when Wembley was drenched in glory.

    Daniel and Rob get in the mood for the FA Cup third round by recalling a pulsating Manchester derby in 2012. United put the holders City out of the competition with a wild 3-2 win. Paul Scholes came out of retirement, one of many unlikely plot twists before and during the game, while Wayne Rooney scored twice in a stirring, fraught and occasionally hilarious victory.
