  • Welcome to Adoption: Embracing Origins! I am genuinely so happy you're here with me.

My personal mission statement is "I am here to support the suffering person". Everything I do goes through this filter, so however this podcast finds you, I hope it helps.

A bit about the show: Delve into the profound layers of the adoptee experience, where the quest for identity meets the heart's deepest yearnings. For many, the word "adoption" signifies love and compassion, but for Jeremy Miller, an adoptee, it meant navigating a maze of emotions, from longing to belonging. As a child, he felt the invisible divide — a gap between the love he received from his adoptive family and the mysterious love of a birth family he had yet to meet. It wasn’t until 32 that he truly understood this, upon meeting his biological family. Jeremy’s perspective is uniquely dual-sided: not only has he walked the challenging & intricate path of an adoptee, but he’s also a seasoned counselor, rooted in the world of behavioral health since 2009. "Embracing Origins" bridges these worlds, offering a blend of personal anecdotes and professional insights to support adoptive families, birth families, adoptees and anyone touched by adoption. This podcast is more than just advice; it's a journey towards deep and profound healing. It serves as an emotional and intellectual roadmap to understanding the complexities of adoption. Whether you're touched by adoption or simply curious, join us each week as we journey together. Bring an open heart, keen curiosity, and full presence, and together let’s discover the true essence of identity, love, and family.
