We must rehearse the character of God in our minds constantly. We must think on his attributes. That is the good, holy, excellent things we should have our minds on. But it reeeeeeally helps if you know the ACTUAL meaning of these attributes. Having that deeper understanding, will give you such a deeper comfort.

When this is the day you feel hopeless and discouraged, you must remember that God is powerful. Perhaps you’re feeling discouraged about your own sin, or the sin of your husband or children, or you’re watching loved ones reject the Lord or act in foolish ways. You must turn your eyes to Christ and think on Him. He is all powerful, and that should give us great comfort.
