    Aug 31 2025

The David BowersAwards presents another 'Artists Special' - This week, our old friend Grant Maloy Smith returns and with a guest, his music partner in his latest adventure (which includes some unexpected videos!).

Amazing marimba player, Kevin Lucas joins Grant to talk about (and share) music from their current project, music videos of their music! They share five tracks and talk about recording them 'on location' in some really interesting places ... including one that was both crazy and, it turns out, dangerous!!! You don't want to miss THIS one!

Five amazing tracks from Grant and Kevin, behind the scenes secrets and some equally amazing sounds. They have joined forces in writing the music as well as playing together and Kevin makes his marimba technique blend with Grant's songs like they belong together.

    Be there AND share.

  • TheDavidBowersAwards presents Yoyoxno's Album Preview Special
    Aug 17 2025

Our old friends from Sweden, Yoyo xno, sit down with us on TheDavidBowersAwards this week to give us a sneak preview of their new album, 'PEARLS' (which you can pre-order now and will be released September 19).

Yoyo xno are a singing/songwriting duo who craft catchy messages in their lyrics and believe that music has something for everyone. They refuse to be pigeon-holed! Their music is crafted somewhat like ‘novelty’ tunes yet are solid pop/rock delivered in a direct-if-slightly-offbeat way.

Yo (and Yo) sit down with us and you in a fun hour-long exploration of the past, present and future of their music and we discover how the music in their forthcoming ‘PEARLS’ LP is a virtual autobiography of the group and their music. They tell you about the songs and how they craft them as well as offer personal insights to who they really are as people.

Come into our den, sit and listen. And don’t forget to check their website for more info and learn about their ‘business cards, which you may find anywhere in the world! You’ll really get to know Yo and Yo and love their music.
