  • Episode 26: Stressed, Stuck & Unmotivated: Breaking the Comfort Trap (Part 1)
    Aug 26 2025

In this episode of The Life Dojo, we dive into issues that are affecting men everywhere, and that have affected us personally: stress, feeling stuck, lack of motivation and the excuse of not having enough time. This is Part 1 of a powerful two-part series where we explore the root causes of these struggles and offer real, experience based solutions that actually work.

We break down the difference between healthy and chronic stress, the damaging effects of constant cortisol, and how most people cope through destructive habits like junk food, smoking or alcohol. We speak about how comfort is killing our drive, how modern life has made us soft, and how stress can be a signal that you’re overwhelmed and need change, not just relief. Michael shares breathwork techniques and simple habits that can shift your nervous system instantly.

Marcus opens up about what it felt like to be stuck after losing his leg and how he flipped his mindset by focusing on what he gained, not just what he lost. We talk about the importance of small steps, strong routines and how cutting off toxic friendships can change everything. We also explore how your "mental diet", the content you consume daily is shaping your reality.

We then dive into motivation and how most people get stuck waiting to "feel like it." But motivation is short-term, discipline is what keeps you going. We speak on self-talk, purpose, passion, and removing distractions. Muhammad Ali didn’t wait for motivation, he told himself he was the greatest until the world believed it. You can do the same.

We close by challenging the excuse of "not having enough time." Michael shares how he wakes at 3am to dominate the day, and how using time wisely is a mindset, not a luxury. From journaling to removing time wasting habits like TV and scrolling, we offer real-world tactics to help you reclaim your hours and redirect your energy.

This episode is a callout and a wake-up for anyone feeling stuck, soft or stagnant, it’s time to stop making excuses and start taking ownership of your life. Part 2 coming soon.

  • Episode 25: Male Suicide, Silent Battles & The Power of Self-Mastery
    Aug 19 2025

In this powerful and emotional episode of The Life Dojo, Michael and Marcus have an honest conversation about a topic rarely discussed openly, male suicide. Marcus shares his personal story of deep depression after losing his leg and how the unconditional love of his dog saved his life. Michael reflects on the first time he was personally affected by suicide, recalling a friend and former soldier suffering from extreme PTSD after witnessing horrors during the Gulf and Bosnian wars.

They discuss the hidden mental health crisis among veterans in the UK and US, the emotional weight of debt, and the psychological damage caused by financial systems designed to trap men in cycles of stress, shame and despair. Michael recalls his brief time working in the bailiff industry, revealing the cold reality behind it, and offers vital insights for anyone facing similar pressure.

The episode unpacks the toxic loop of consumerism, social media "peacocking," and the empty validation men chase to impress others, especially women. They take aim at online gurus and motivational scammers who exploit vulnerable men with surface-level hype and expensive courses. The conversation turns toward real healing, the importance of a nurturing partner, emotional awareness and self-mastery in mind, body, spirit and emotion.

They reflect on how lockdowns removed men’s coping outlets and how unhealed childhood trauma resurfaced for many. Michael shares personal revelations around anger, guilt and self-reflection, challenging men to evaluate themselves fully and take ownership of their healing journey. The episode closes with a message of self-love, passion and purpose, along with a practical guide Marcus shares for men battling suicidal thoughts.

This is a raw, real and compassionate episode for any man who's ever felt overwhelmed and for anyone who wants to understand what men are really going through behind the scenes.

  • Episode 24: Mental Health, Mind Control & The Discipline to Break Free
    Aug 12 2025

In this episode, we explore the warrior mindset through the lens of undisputed boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk , a man defying age and odds through discipline, legacy, and spiritual strength. We reflect on how true greatness comes from honour, work ethic and a refusal to be broken by adversity.

We dive into the difference between emotional health and mental illness, questioning whether society is pathologising natural emotions to feed Big Pharma. From lockdown trauma to the rise in ADHD and antidepressants, we explore how healing often lies in nature, routine and spiritual alignment, not medication.

We discuss fluoride, pesticides, and hidden toxins in food, water, and medicine, asking if these systems are designed to suppress human potential. We break down how TV, media, and Hollywood manipulate the subconscious, and how we can reprogram ourselves by choosing what we consume, mentally and spiritually.

We talk about the loss of honour among men, broken unity in society, and how subcultures like simps and roadmen reflect a deeper identity crisis. We touch on rising crime, police failings, and the disconnect between the elite and working class, sharing real stories of injustice and corruption.

Ultimately, we finish on a message of love, purpose and self-leadership encouraging listeners to rise above fear, reject victimhood and live with discipline and higher consciousness. This is a bold, honest conversation for those ready to break free and raise their vibration.
