    In this episode, we dive deep into the world of DC, and the new Superman film, which will kick start the relaunch of DC franchise.

    Can James Gunn successfully reboot, reinvent, and revitalise Superman? We start by taking an in depth look at the failure of the Snyder Verse and the DCEU. Where did it all go wrong? What were the highs and lows? How was a golden opportunity to create a great franchise missed, when all the elements were right there? Fifteen films were produced in the DCEU over more than a decade, but how many were worth the big screen experience? We’ll analyse the failures across the series, covering everything from The Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, Aquaman, The Flash and of course Justice League & The Snyder Cut.

    Why wasn’t there a Man of Steel 2 or 'Batfleck' standalone Batman film? We’ll also look at the biggest problem with Justice League and the SC, rank the best and worst films in the Snyder Verse and debate whether Snyder’s creative freedom helped or hindered DC’s cinematic universe- as well as Ben Affleck’s underrated Batman.

    We’ll also touch on DC’s struggles under Warner Bros, the Marvel vs DC rivalry (who did it better?). Was the downfall of DC due to too much executive control, or not enough?     This is the second instalment of The Lie Of Communism.Chapter 2 picks up from where we left off in Chapter 1, The Aftermath of the Bloody Sunday Massacre. Russia was forever changed. The people’s faith and trust in The Tsar had been shattered. Meanwhile, Lenin and the Bolsheviks were gaining more and more support by the day, as The Tsar was doubling down on his control over the people. Revolution was in the air!However, internal tensions were brewing within the Bolshevik Party. Lenin went on the offensive, calling for mass terror and continent-wide conflict. Turning the failure of the 1905 Revolution into an advantage, he used it in his crusade against Tsar Nicholas. In the Wake of the BSM, the Tsar was forced to issue a series of reforms known as the October Manifesto. The Manifesto promised change to his people who were desperate for their Tsar to acknowledge their pleas for fairness and change.Russia was plunged back into chaos as the Tsar tightened his grip on power, refusing to accept the Manifesto controlling the parliament through the Duma. Lenin returned to St. Petersburg, seeing his opportunity to strike at the Tsar. He spread his message through another newspaper, Vperyod (forward), which brought new members and increased revenue to the Bolshevik Party. The party was growing rapidly, and more funding was needed despite Lenin’s views on capitalism.A young Joesph Stalin proved himself to the party, coming up with a plan to acquire more funding with Lenin’s blessing in a less than legal way. But Lenin’s decision to sanction crime divided the Bolsheviks and ultimately forced Lenin into exile once more. At the same time, the death of his mother sent him into a cycle of depression. Lenin’s world had collapsed and his future within the party and his dream of a proletariat revolution were in doubt. That was until his guardian angel, Inessa Armand, rescued him from despair, pulling him up from the dark abyss and back into the light. Armand was responsible for Lenin’s resurrection and the reshaping of the man that would one day lead the revolution. For decades, the Soviets covered up her role and importance in his story, but it was through her that Lenin 2.0 was born. From this point, he fundamentally changed his interruption of Marxism, redefining his philosophy.     Extra! Extra! It's time for another edition of The Weekly Tank, and with it, another film review. This weeks review is "Jurassic World Rebirth", the seventh film in the "Jurassic Park" franchise. Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend and Ed Skrein.

    "Rebirth" takes place 5 years after the events of "Jurassic World Dominion", in a world where the public has lost interest in dinosaurs and due to changes in climate conditions have started to die off, except for some small pockets around the equator. The film follows a team led by Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) on a mission to extract DNA from three massive dinosaur species to develop a treatment for heart disease. Where are these Dinosaurs? Well, that's the catch, they're located on a mysterious island near Barbados that is off limits and controlled by the Government.

    Before looking at the new film, we will revisit the entire Jurassic franchise, ranking them from best to worst, exploring T-Rex VS Spinosaurus, looking at the problems with Jurassic Park III, weighing up the pros and cons of the Jurassic World Trilogy, appreciating the genius of Jurassic Park, unpacking the tropes and cliches within the franchise, questioning InGen's lack of security, discussing the damn infamous snickers wrapper and exposing Jurassic World Rebirth's biggest sins. Is the film a Rebirth, a Revival or a Repetition?

    MI:8 follows on from the events in Dead Reckoning, the stakes are the highest they have ever been, catastrophic even. The Entity has continued to seize control of global nuclear arsenals, Ethan and his IMF team only have a few days to retrieve the "Podkova" module from the sunken Russian submarine, Sevastopol, in order to use the "Poison Pill" malware, created by Luther, in a desperate bid to shut the Entity down.

    We will be diving into the Mission Impossible Saga, revisiting the films and highlighting my personal favourites. We'll also take a closer look at the jaw-dropping, death-defying stunts that have become audience favourites. How do these stunts stack up against those of the Bond and Jason Bourne movies? Mission Impossible: The final Reckoning marks the end of an era.

    F1 centres around former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, who after a 30 year hiatus makes his return. He accepts an offer from his old friend Ruben to help get his struggling APXGP team off of the bottom of the ladder. As part of his return, Sonny mentors star rookie driver Joshua Pearce which leads to personal rivalries that shake up the team and the racing world.

    We’ll also take a closer look at the technical side of Formula 1, including the innovation that has emerged from the sport, the physical rigours of racing, the perception and split second timing of F1, the distinctive 80s style and structure of F1. Plus, we will dive into the many characters of Brad Pitt, throughout his career.

Chapter 1 will transport us back to the early 1900s during a very dark and turbulent time in Russia, when the old Imperial Government ignored and pushed around the very people it was meant to serve.Revolution was in the air. The roads of destiny were about to converge. An angry and disillusioned young man by the name of Vladimir Lenin finds himself at a crossroads, after a series of personal tragedies that begin to shape his future and push him towards what would ultimately turn out to be his destiny. Lenin starts a crusade against Czar Nicholas II and the Czarist Government; From humble beginnings participating in low level demonstrations against the government, to being a political theorist in the RSDLP (Russian Social Democratic Labour Party), to running a leftist newspaper "Iskra", and then eventually forming the Bolshevik Party after splitting with his old Comrade Julius Martov during the 1903 Second Party RSDLP Conference. The seeds of revolution had been sown, however there was one major event in 1905 putting events in motion that could not be undone. The Bloody Sunday Massacre paved the way for Lenin and the Bolsheviks to take aim at Czar and his government, sealing his fate and launching his revolution that fundamentally changed the course of history.     This is the 6th Weekly Tank: I will be reviewing the latest instalment of the Marvel franchise Thunderbolts*, directed by Jake Schreier and staring Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan & Wyatt Russell.


    Set in a Post Avengers world, where a team of anti-reject anti-heroes are manipulated into a covert cover up mission by CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The team is made up of characters from several past Marvel films that include Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, US Agent Ava Starr and the Mysterious Bob.


    Thunderbolts* takes on a heavier psychological tone than other Marvel films exploring Trauma, Redemption and Mental Health, as well as Trust, Teamwork and Purpose. After the review, we will look at that deep hypothetical question/debate making its way around the internet and social media, A Silverback Gorilla vs 100 Men, Who would win? The Tank will weigh in with a few unique equations and scenarios.

    Sinners has a unique take on the Vampire/Horror genres while exploring the racial tensions of the 1930s, Deep South superstitions, love and the power of music. We’ll also dive into the lived-in and real world of Sinners, its use of folklore and metaphor, the costume design and the potential for future spin offs.
