  • The 2026 Prediction Episode
    Jan 8 2026

It's time for The Sportists to dust off the crystal ball and look ahead with the 2026 prediction episode.

Before charging ahead, the team looks back at the predictions for 2025 - the good, bad and ugly. Some were spot-on (thank you, Cleveland bullpen). Others...not so much.

College football playoffs charge ahead and we ask the traditional question, can anyone stop Indiana? Well, it's a new tradition. Oregon is low on running backs and my have to resort to a four-star option.

Ratings are up for bowl games despite portal madness. Iowa State had 14 players on their football roster at one point - barely more than the basketball team! And Mizzou gains a quarterback, but loses their entire defense. Are we cheering for laundry?

Massive change isn't limited to the NCAA ranks - the Eastern Kansas Chiefs are facing a significant roster turnover. Perhaps this is for the best since they may be a solid third in the AFC West.

The gang takes their weekly visit to Blue Horseshoe's corner before moving to with 15 sports predictions for 2026. All of this and how not to prepare Uncrustables on this week's action-packed episode of The St. Louis Sportists Podcast.

Happy New Year from The Sportists! Mizzou goes to a bowl game and forgets to take an offense with them. Illinois takes their best game of the year to the Music City Bowl and outplays and outcoaches Tennessee.

The Pop Tart Bowl has struck the jackpot for mid-tier bowls and others try, but come up short. And transfer portal madness is about to get underway.

Big changes are coming to Kansas City in the offseason, which will start much earlier than usual. The offensive coordinator may be moving on, which might not be a bad thing. Sauce Gardner and the Colts complete an epic collapse and Phillip Rivers is the guy everyone wants to guard in pickup basketball -- until you learn he will score every time he touches the ball.

The guys offer their picks for the upcoming NCAA playoff games as well as the final week of the NFL season. Will Derrick Henry ride high or will Mike Tomlin have a moment of satisfaction?

Pretty much everyone is eligible to play college basketball now and John Calapari unleashes an epic seven minute rant for the ages. All of this and tonsil swabbing on this week's festive edition of The St. Louis Sportists Podcast.

  • They're Probably a Crepe Team
    Dec 25 2025

It's a Christmas Miracle as all five Sportists return for this week's episode. Kansas City will be without a football team in 2031 and judging from last week's performance, they may not have one right now. What's next and what about the Royals?

The college football playoffs are underway and a couple of big names are already out. How does Texas A&M rate a season that started 11-0 but ended with two bad losses? And what's the future of the non-power conference teams after JMU and Tulane's performances? Notre Dame turns down the Pop Tart Bowl - perhaps they prefer a more sophisticated breakfast.

The Blues are hobbling along, but are shockingly within strikng distance of a playoff spot. But can the shorthanded team pull enough together to get it done?

The Cardinals have found a reliable trading partner in the Boston Red Sox. A promising haul of young pitching may bode well for the future. And the trading may continue after the holidays.

Mizzou "attends" the annual Braggin' Rights game against Illinois and if you had the Tigers and 42 points, well, you lost. But the SLU Billikens are 11-1 and very fun to watch!

All of this and messages of love and good cheer on this week's episode of The St. Louis Sportists Podcast.
