The Simple Walk – Don’t Walk Alone
Episode 25 - Spiritual Hoarding - Letting Go of What We Carry Too Long

Spiritual Hoarding exposes a hidden condition that quietly affects many believers — the accumulation of burdens, memories, fears, and attachments that God never intended for us to carry for a lifetime. This chapter teaches that clutter is not always visible. Sometimes it lives in the heart through unforgiveness, anxiety, regret, and the need to control outcomes that belong to God.

Through strong biblical teaching and practical spiritual insight, this message reveals how holding on to the wrong things can block peace, slow spiritual growth, and prevent believers from stepping into new seasons of life. It reminds listeners that release is not weakness — it is faith in action.

This chapter encourages those who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or spiritually stuck. It shows that God is not asking us to carry everything alone. He is calling us to trust Him enough to let go.

    Key Themes Covered:
    Spiritual clutter and emotional baggage
Letting go of past hurts and control
    Trusting God in uncertain seasons
Building eternal treasure instead of temporary security
Recognizing hidden burdens that block spiritual growth
Faith as the antidote to fear and attachment
    Renewal through surrender

    Scriptural Foundation:
Matthew 6:20 — Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…
    Isaiah 43:18–19 — Behold, I will do a new thing…
1 Peter 5:7 — Casting all your care upon him…
2 Timothy 1:7 — God hath not given us the spirit of fear…

    Audience:
This chapter speaks to believers, caregivers, leaders, parents, seniors, and anyone who has carried responsibility or emotional weight for a long season. It is especially meaningful for those rebuilding their lives, releasing the past, and learning to trust God again after hardship — a message that strongly reflects your journey of restoration and perseverance in The Simple Walk – Don’t Walk Alone.

    Core Takeaway:
Freedom begins when we release what God never asked us to carry.

    Apr 12 2026
Take Your Hand Off My Throat is a powerful and urgent teaching about spiritual oppression, pressure, and the cry for divine deliverance. This chapter speaks to individuals who feel restrained by fear, false accusations, overwhelming stress, controlling environments, or circumstances that seem determined to silence their voice and steal their peace. It addresses the reality that many battles are not visible wounds, but invisible pressures that restrict breathing, confidence, and hope.

Drawing from Psalm 144:11 and supporting scriptures throughout the Bible, this message teaches that God is a deliverer who responds to the cries of His people. It reminds believers that oppression does not have the final word and that freedom begins when we call upon the Lord with faith and authority. The chapter encourages readers and listeners to recognize unhealthy pressure, resist spiritual suffocation, and stand firm in the promise that God will break every grip that attempts to control their lives.

This teaching is especially meaningful for those navigating seasons of hardship, legal or financial pressure, emotional strain, or spiritual warfare. The Simple Walk – Don’t Walk Alone
Chapter 19 - Breadlines and Bloodlines

    📖 Theme Scripture:
“He that eateth of this bread shall live forever.”
    John 6:58 (KJV)

Title: Breadlines and Bloodlines – Are You Starving at the Table of the Lord?

    Overview:
In this gripping and soul-stirring chapter, Breadlines and Bloodlines, Pastor Barbara Duffey Hammonds takes listeners deeper into the hunger crisis that lives beyond soup kitchens and poverty. She exposes the famine of spiritual identity, the deep need for generational healing, and the bloodline breakthroughs that are only found in the Bread of Life.

This message unpacks the prophetic vision of legs running—dirty, weary, forgotten—yet drawn to a divine table prepared in the midst of enemies. It challenges both the church and the individual: Have you missed your portion? Have you walked past the Bread to sit with broken bloodlines? Are you feasting in pride while others die spiritually at your gate?

    Topics Covered:
    • The spiritual symbolism of breadlines throughout scripture
    • Healing from bloodline curses through communion with Christ
    • Running toward restoration, even while broken
    • How spiritual starvation leads to deception
    • The cry of the overlooked and underfed in the body of Christ
    • God’s table: Open invitation or closed access?
    • Prophetic correction to the Church’s favoritism
    • Calling every soul to dine at the Lord’s prepared table

🔥 Word of Warning and Awakening

Some are eating breadcrumbs under a table of abundance they were meant to sit at. Others have claimed seats at the Lord’s table, but forgotten to bring the broken with them. This chapter is a call to every soul who has ever felt left behind, skipped over, or silenced by bloodline shame. You were never meant to die hungry.

    Prayer

Bread for the Broken and Blood-Covered Souls
    Heavenly Father,
You are the Bread of Life. You prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies, yet we’ve been too busy, too proud, or too broken to sit down. We come today with dirty feet, heavy hearts, and hungry souls. Feed us, Lord—not with man’s opinions or empty rituals—but with the Bread that heals the generations.

Break every curse in our bloodline. Cut off every cycle of rejection, addiction, bitterness, and fear. Let us taste of the bread that never perishes and drink from the cup that redeems. Show us how to feed others. Let no soul in our lineage die spiritually starved again. We receive your invitation. We choose your table.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Simple Walk – Don’t Walk Alone
Episode 18 - No One Noticed I Was Starving

“I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat…”
    Matthew 25:42 KJV

    Spiritual Message:

They saw me in the pew…
    Clapping, nodding, dressed for church.
But they never saw I was starving.
    Not physically—though I had known hunger…
    But spiritually. Emotionally. Deeply.

There is a starvation that lives beneath the surface—
When no one feeds your soul.
When no one asks, “How are you, really?”
When no one notices the slow fading of your hope,
Or the way your joy limps in, bruised and bandaged.

    The Hidden Hunger of Saints:

Some of the most faithful givers are starving.
Some of the loudest worshippers are weeping between verses.
Some of the strongest leaders are famished after pouring into everyone else.
    Yet nobody notices…

    Because spiritual starvation is silent.
You can sing with an empty soul.
You can preach with a broken spirit.
You can serve while bleeding on the inside.

    Let This Chapter Feed You:

    This is not a rebuke.
    This is a rescue.

God is sending this Word to stir us—
To make us see each other again.
To notice who’s shrinking under the weight,
    Who hasn’t laughed in weeks,
    Who’s stopped praying out loud,
Who only shares Scriptures but never asks for prayer.

You may be the one starving.
You may be the one who’s tired of being “strong.”
    But beloved, God noticed.
He saw your plate empty… your soul empty…
And He sent a Word to feed you.

    Spiritual Takeaway:

We must learn to be better watchmen for one another.
This walk is not a performance—
    It is a lifeline.
And someone next to you may be starving on the inside,
Even as they serve, smile, or lead.

    Scripture Reminders:

    Matthew 25:42
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink…

    Isaiah 58:10
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity…

    John 21:15
Jesus saith… Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?… Feed my lambs.

    Psalm 107:9
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

    A Heartfelt Prayer:

    Lord,
Forgive us for ignoring the hunger we can’t see.
Open our eyes to the starving souls sitting near us.
Restore every worn-out heart, every dry well, every empty plate.
Let your Word be bread again.
Let your Spirit pour water on the weary.
We cry out for those who are starving in silence—
    Fill them again.
    Feed us again.
And make us feeders, not just receivers.
    In Jesus’ mighty name.
    Amen.
