    A little later than planned...here's your weekly Rugby League Hot Recap!


    Locky Campbell and Eliot McGuire recap the action from the Super League and the NRL which brought high amounts of drama to our TV screens this weekend.


    We start with Wigan v Wakefield as the Warriors welcomed Bevan French back into the side (1.51) and then it's on to Friday night's cracker between Saints and Hull FC (9.30) before we begin the Warrington postmortem after their game at Huddersfield (17.57).


    It's then off to Perpignan for Dragons v Tigers (28.26), a quick check-in on Leigh as they hosted Salford (35.47) before we recap Thursday night's showdown between Leeds and Hull KR (42.04.)


    After the Championship and League 1 recap, it's on to the NRL and there's no better place to start then the moment of magic between Canberra and Penrith (52.56) and we also check in on Bulldogs v Melbourne as well as talk through Des Hasler's departure from the Gold Coast Titans and the latest on the Wests Tigers.

  • Robins edge closer to League Leader's Shield, Salford move closer to the abyss and Hull FC stay in the playoff fight

    We're back with this week's Hot Recap after another turbulent week for the sport.


    After a litany of bad off-the-field news, Salford's game against Wakefield was called off on Friday so we've got five Super League games to bring you plus your regular 15 minutes on the NRL.


    We start with the Grand Final rematch between Wigan and Hull KR (1.59) and follow it up with a memorable encounter between Hull FC and Leigh Leopards (12.37).


    It's then on to Castleford vs Leeds (22.23), Huddersfield v St Helens (30.55) and the Thursday night recap of Warrington and Catalans (39.55).


    We then dive into all of the off the field dramas around Salford from the last week with their future in serious jeopardy (46.57) before heading into our NRL section as focus on Melbourne's dramatic win over Penrith, the incoming rise of the Sydney Roosters, the Battle of Brisbane and the future of Daly Cherry-Evans after the Tigers humbled the Sea Eagles.

  • Friday night delights, the end nears for Salford and what on earth happened to the Dolphins?!

    It's time for your regular scheduled programming as Locky Campbell and Eliot McGuire bring you the latest Rugby League Hot Recap.


    As always, we start with the Super League and the Friday night games as Warrington bid to keep their season alive versus Wigan (1.43) and Wakefield host a Saints side looking for a series sweep (11.54).


    We then turn our attention to the thunderous Thursday night encounter between Leeds and Leigh (21.31) before rattling through Huddersfield v Catalans (30.37) and Hull KR v Castleford (37.33). We bid adieu to the Salford Red Devils as the club becomes a makeshift side of loaned players to end the year (43.17).


    There's talk of the future of the Championship and League One (52.45) before we dig into the NRL (57.00) as the Roosters blast past the Dolphins, the Raiders take a big step towards a minor premiership and Brisbane experience the worst luck in their clash with Melbourne.

    Locky Campbell and Eliot McGuire return to bring you up to speed after an eventful week of rugby league news and action.


    First off, it's straight into the remaining games from Super League R20 as Leigh and Warrington play out one of the best games of the year (1.36), St Helens send a message to their rivals against Castleford (13.59) and Hull KR make some new records with a trip to Salford (21.56).


    We then talk about the big Super League expansion announcement (31.58) including who could come up? What's the deal with Magic Weekend? And what does it mean for the Championship and League One?


    It's then on to the NRL (50.52) where Nathan Cleary kicked a blinder in a 'game of the year' contender, Herbie Farnworth's injury has huge ramifications for the Dolphins, the Tigers get one over on Galvin and the Broncos look a late season threat.

    The boys talk through the latest discussions around the future of Super League with a big decision coming tomorrow on league structure and the welcome news that Wigan will face Catalans in Paris next June.


    It's then on to listing the best five Super League coaches before we head to the NRL where the Panthers are looking like they could compete for a fifth straight title as the Warriors look vulnerable and St George's season looks almost done.


    We finish with our very different perspectives on the best 10 players in the world!

  • Wigan humbled, Castleford trip Warrington up and praise for Leka Halisima

    An action-packed round sees upsets and tight scores aplenty across the Super League and NRL.


    Locky Campbell and Eliot McGuire are your guides through the action and we start at the Brick Community Stadium as Wigan take on their bogey team, Hull FC (1.58). It's then off to the jungle for a raucous affair between Castleford and Warrington (12.06) before we check in on Mikey Lewis and table toppers Hull KR as they take on the Dragons who look set for a new coach (22.01). Then it's on to Huddersfield v Wakefield (31.11) as the home side look to get a statement win against the playoff challengers, Leeds v Salford (40.12) as the home side look to bounce back from their St Helens' defeat and then we finish with the Thursday night encounter between St Helens and Leigh Leopards (46.30).


    To the NRL and there is some dramatic last minute drama between the Newcastle Knights and New Zealand Warriors, a Lachlan Galvin-inspired performance for the Bulldogs against St George and a surprise result between Manly and Melbourne.

    Welcome to another weekly episode of the Rugby League Hot Recap.


    It's a Locky Campbell solo episode on this Sunday evening as he brings you up to speed on all the Super League and NRL action.


    The episode starts with the big game between Leigh Leopards and Hull KR on Saturday afternoon (0.53) and for a discussion on Willie Peter's future as Hull KR coach before a recap of the Leeds-St Helens contest at Headingley (8.55).


    It's then on to the memorable finish between Warrington and Catalans in Perpignan (13.39) and Salford's big performance over the Castleford Tigers (18.34).


    The pod then turns its attention to Wigan and Huddersfield's Friday night encounter where a memorable try was scored (25.33) and then it's the Thursday night recap of Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity (30.21).

    What a weekend!


    In one of the best rounds of Super League action all season, Locky Campbell and Eliot McGuire chat through the titanic tussles as 1st placed Hull KR faced off against the 3rd placed Rhinos and the 2nd placed Warriors headed to 4th placed Leigh.


    After those encounters, there was more drama as St Helens headed to Hull FC whilst Wakefield made a statement in their game with Catalans Dragons.


    We then wrap up Super League action with Warrington's trip to Salford and the Thursday night encounter between Castleford and Huddersfield, as well as the news that Danny Maguire has bitten the dust after 17 rounds.


    We then head to the NRL as Kaeo Weekes stars for the Canberra Raiders in their win over the St George Illawara Dragons and the Lachlan Galvin saga continues to derail Canterbury Bulldogs' 2025 season!
