That breeze isn't letting up — expect winds between 15 and 25 miles an hour through midweek, with gusts pushing 30 to 40. Secure anything loose outside before it takes flight. Metro San Juan reaches 81 degrees this afternoon with just isolated showers — only a 20 percent chance. East winds around 18 miles an hour keep things breezy. Tonight drops to 75 with scattered showers becoming more likely. Tomorrow brings more of the same: 81 degrees with that steady east wind and scattered showers. Southern Puerto Rico runs hotter. You'll hit 88 this afternoon before cooling to 82 later. Isolated showers possible, but those wind gusts — up to 30 miles an hour — are the real story. Tonight falls to 72 with partly cloudy skies. Monday climbs to 89 with a 30 percent chance of scattered showers. Western Puerto Rico faces the wettest conditions today. A 60 percent chance of rain showers this afternoon. Could see a tenth to quarter inch. High near 86 before dropping to 80. Tonight clears out nicely — down to 69. Monday brings another round: 85 degrees with a 60 percent chance of showers after 9 A.M. The island woke up to 75 degrees with breezy easterly winds doing their thing. Here's your day. Metro San Juan climbs to 81 degrees with scattered showers continuing through the afternoon. East winds gust to 24 miles an hour, keeping things brisk. Those showers peak around 6 P.M. With a 40 percent chance. Tonight drops to 75 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Now head south. Ponce and the southern coast hit 88 degrees — seven degrees warmer than the metro. Isolated showers pop up mid-afternoon around 3 P.M., but most of the day stays sunny. Tonight cools to 72 degrees. Western Puerto Rico sees the wettest conditions. Mayagüez reaches 86 degrees with scattered showers firing up after noon. Rain chances jump to 50 percent by 3 P.M. Winds stay lighter here, around 7 miles an hour. Tonight clears out to 69 degrees. Monday brings more of the same — scattered showers, breezy easterlies, highs in the low 80s. But Tuesday? The metro area is mopping up while the west stayed bone dry. Classic March: one side of the island gets a shower, the other gets a sunburn. Down in Metro San Juan, scattered showers linger tonight with a before midnight. Lows stick to a muggy 75 degrees. Tomorrow, the sun plays hide-and-seek with afternoon highs hitting 81 degrees. Those trade winds are steady too, blowing 14 to 18 miles an hour with gusts to 25. Head south to Ponce and it’s a different world. Skies clear out tonight with lows near 73. But Sunday afternoon cranks the heat up to 88 degrees. Watch out for those gusts hitting 32 miles an hour—that's enough to turn your beach umbrella inside out if you're not careful. Out west in Rincón, you dodged the rain today, but the pattern flips Sunday afternoon. Scattered showers roll in after noon, bringing a a chance you'll need the umbrella by 3 P.M. Highs reach 86 degrees, but those showers could cool things off fast. In A quick warning for coast, life-threatening rip currents are hitting San Juan. Vieques. And Culebra through Monday. Unless you're a strong swimmer, today isn't the day to test the ocean. Small craft advisories are up everywhere with seas running 5 to 7 feet. Looking ahead, expect more of the same but windier. Trade winds howl at 15 to 20 miles an hour through Thursday with gusts to 30. The best chance for widespread rain comes Tuesday and Wednesday. If you're heading to the beach, keep one eye on the sky.
