About this listen

Welcome to the Own My Life podcast, with Abi Thomas and Natalie Collins. It’s a joy to be with you as we meet amazing women who have been through the Own My Life Course, a 12 week course which enables women who have been subjected to abuse to regain ownership of their lives. Joy is a key value for us at OML, so yes, be aware you will hear painful stories of many types of abuse during these episodes. But you will also hear a lot of joy - and we make no apology for that! 25% of women experience abuse at the hands of a partner, but many people think “I think I’m the only one who feels like this”. Here at Own My Life we want women to know they are part of a bigger story, and there are others cheering them on! But there are also so many of us who have never experienced this personally. But maybe we have friends, family, neighbours or colleagues who are in controlling and abusive relationships, and we would love to support them better. This podcast is for all of us. Come on this journey with us and be part of something bigger. Own My Life.Copyright 2025 Own My Life Relationships Social Sciences
