Today, our question comes from Tammy, who lives in Alexandria, VA, and Tammy asks, 'Well, that didn’t work out as Pete Hegseth planned.' All of the legitimate press corps have walked out of the Pentagon, refusing to sign the loyalty pledge. Even Fox couldn’t agree to this obtrusive oversight of journalism. And when Fox goes against their party, that says a lot. So, although I know in principle this was the right thing to do, now that there is no one watching the Pentagon, what could this mean? Without journalistic oversight, what could this mean? Could the administration go even further and place our country in further jeopardy? I’d really like to know if the panel agrees with the journalist’s decision. Or could there have been another way to address this? Now we need to rely on OANN and other right-wing fringe “news” outlets for information on the actions of our military. This concerns me a lot.

I’ve tried to look at this from the Republican side. I know the panel always promotes that political action is usually motivated by a positive calculation, but I admit I can’t see how this benefits the Republicans. Can you shed some light or insight on what benefits the Republicans think they might get from this shutdown? I admit I’m totally in the dark.

We saw peaceful protests only disrupted by violent MAGA cultists. Trump downplayed the event, saying it wasn’t widely attended. I guess 7 million isn’t a big crowd. These rallies happened in all 50 states, even in the red ones. Should these rallies continue? Should the organizers plan more such events? Do you think these events are starting to have an impact?

Israel is accusing Hamas of not meeting the agreement and has resumed bombings. Trump has said that since Hamas has not honored the deal, Israel can do what it wants. So far no proof that these little boats are actually carrying drugs. The Admiral in charge of the forces conducting the attacks has resigned, and although we don’t know the exact reason for his stepping away, we can speculate that the military actions might be a reason.
