Jesus lets the people of Nazareth know that the prophesy about the Messiah in Isaiah is about Him. These people immediately turn on Jesus and try to throw Him off a cliff because He tells them they will later reject Him so He will not save most of them; Jesus heals and casts demons out of many people; Jesus does a miracle in front of Simon the fisherman and asks Simon to follow Him to fish for people. Simon follows Jesus and will be laterrenamed Peter by Jesus; Jesus forgives the sins of and heals a paralyzed man; Jesus calls tax collector Levi to follow Him: Levi will be renamed Matthew by Jesus; Jesus and the Pharisees get into a confrontation about Jesus showing mercy and healing people on the Sabbath; Jesus chooses the 12 apostles out of his group of followers; Jesus preaches the Beatitudes and tells His followers they must love their enemies.

The Word of God came to John the Baptist. John the Baptist preached a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. John the Baptist announced the imminent coming of the Messiah, who would be Jesus. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and heaven was opened, the Holy Spirit descended in Jesus like a dove and a voice from heaven said "You are my Son whom I love; with you I am well pleased." The genealogy of Jesus is givengoing from his step-father, Joseph all the way back to the first man, Adam. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness where he fasted for forty days and then was tempted to sin by the devil.

END OF MARK: Crucified Jesus is buried in Joseph of Arimathea's tomb; Three days later women followers of Jesus came to his tomb. The stone was rolled away and an angel was there who told them Jesus had risen from the dead and they will see him alive in Galilee. Jesus appeared to the women and the apostles. Jesus gave the apostles the Great Commission; Jesus rose in front of them and was taken back to heaven as sat at the right hand of God; the apostles went out and preached about Jesus everywhere. START OF LUKE: The events of the birth of John the Baptist; The events of the birth of Jesus; Twelve-year-old Jesus marveled the religious teachers in His conversations with them at the temple.

THE CRUXIFIXION EVENTS OF JESUS IN THE GOSPEL OF MARK: The Last Supper; Jesus reveals to the 12 apostles one of them will betray Him; Jesus tells Peter he will disown Him 3 times later that night- Peter responds he would never do that; Jesus prays to God the Father asking for another way to save us from our sins besides Him being crucified- God the Father said there is no other way- Jesus agrees to be crucified to pay for our sins to save us; Judas betrays Jesus to the temple guards who arrest Jesus. The chief priest asks Jesus if He is "the Messiah, the Son of God?" Jesus said He is. Jesus is accused of blasphemy for saying this and sentenced to death. Peter disowns Jesus 3 times; Jesus is brought before the Roman governor Pilate; the crowd demands Barabbas the insurrectionist and murder be set free and Jesus be crucified. Pilate said Jesus was innocent, but he had Jesus flogged and handed Jesus over to be crucified to satisfy the crowd; the Roman soldiers greatly abuse and mock Jesus, beating Him and placing a crown of thorns on His head; Simon of Cyrene was forced to help Jesus carry His cross; Jesus was crucified at 9:00am between 2 rebels; the people mock Jesus and taunt Him to cone down off the cross; at 3:00pm Jesus cries out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus breathed his last breath and died; at that moment the curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; a centurion who was standing in front of Jesus and witnessed all the events cried out "Surely this man was the Son of God!"

Jesus states the most important commandment is to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind & strength and to love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus warns that the teachers of the law are evil hypocrites; the widow's offering; Jesus speaks in depth about end time events; Jesus states that no one but God the Father know the day and hour that Jesus will return to us; the chief priests and teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him; a woman poured perfume on Jesus's head, anointing him for his death which was coming soon.

Jesus says we must receive the kingdom of God like a little child to enter it; a man declined Jesus's offer to follow Hom because he would have to give up his riches to do it; we will be given eternal life for following Jesus; Jesus tells his disciples a third time he will be killed and rise from the dead on the third day; Jesus tells his followers they are to serve others, not be served by others; Jesus gives sigh to a blind man; Jesus enters Jerusalem worshipped by the people as a King for the Passover festival, Jesus drives out the people buying and selling in the temple; the chief priests and teachers of the law are looking for a way to kill Jesus; Jesus gives The Parable of the Tenants; Jesus outwits the Pharisees that are trying to catch Him saying something wrong; Jesus discusses marriage on earth and in heaven.

Jesus cast a demon out of a foreign woman's daughter due to the strong faith the woman had in Jesus; Jesus heals a man who was deaf and mute; Jesus did a miracle to multiply 7 loaves of bread and a few small fish into enough food to feed 4,000 families; Jesus warns his disciples to beware of the teachings of the Pharisees; Jesus heals a blind man; Peter declares that Jesus is the Messiah; Jesus tells his disciples he will be made to suffer and be killed and will rise from the dead on the third day. Peter told Jesus not to do this. Jesus harshly criticized Peter for following what he wanted, not what God wanted; Jesus state that His followers must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Jesus; Jesus transfigured in front of Peter James and John and Moses and Elijah came down from heaven and spoke with Jesus; Jesus is upset at His apostles because they did not have enough faith in Jesus to be able to cast a demon out of a boy; Jesus tells his followers a second time he will be killed and rise on the third day; Jesus teaches about sin and divorce.

Jesus forgives and heals a paralyzed man; Jesus calls Levi (Matthew) the tax collector to follow him and Matthew does; the Pharisees do not understand why Jesus eats with tax collectors and sinners; Jesus brings a new covenant; the Pharisees criticize Jesus and his disciples for eating (working) on the Sabbath; Jesus heals a man with a crippled hand on the Sabbath- the Pharisees began to plot to kill Jesus for this; Jesus healed multitudes and cast out many demons; Jesus appoints the 12 apostles; the Pharisees say Jesus is using the power of demons to cast out demons. Jesus responds that calling the Holy Spirit demonic is blaspheming Him and this will not be forgiven; Jesus gives multiple parables
