Sometimes It's hard to unlock that chain.

In 2013, two lives came together that would set the course that neither party expected. 'A Nation of Hope' Co-founders, Michael and Natasha L. Fuller, both serve populations learning how to cope with the readjustment within a community filled with barriers and unforeseen challenges.

Local Government That Works.

None of that goes on between the Town of Plattsburgh, NY and the City of Plattsburgh, NY - in the Northeast corner of New York State near the Canadian Border.

These two Municipalities have been holding regular meetings for over a year, discussing how they can mutually benefit each other, and the entire region. ..and it's working!

I sat down with Town of Plattsburgh NY Supervisor Michael Cashman and City of Plattsburgh NY Mayor Christopher Rosenquest to talk about just how the constant communication and action has helped to benefit the entire Plattsburgh NY region.

Plattsburgh has a famous Food Item - It's called a 'Michigan'.

The Story of Curtis Brooks

Curtis Brooks has been on the A&E Program: #kidsbehindbars

He was incarcerated at age 15.

On April 10, 1995 in Aurora, Colorado, 15-year-old Curtis Brooks was one of four teenagers involved in the death of Christopher Ramos as they tried to steal his car. As a result, Curtis was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

After 23 years in jail, Curtis was granted a resentencing. He spent a total of 24 years behind bars. This happened because the US Supreme Court ruled that it is unconstitutional to hand out such lengthy sentences to juveniles convicted of murder. Curtis did not fire the shot that took the life of the boy. There are all kinds of nuances associated with his case, readily available on the Internet.

The subject of this interview is to show what Curtis' life is like after Prison.

Curtis Brooks has done well for himself. Since being released on July 1, 2019, he lives in New York State's Capital District, is now married, has bought his first house, and is now in Sales. This is his story, as told by Curtis himself. This has an emphasis on what he considers to be his mission in life. I think you'll find it heartwarming. He really has the right attitude.
