    Nov 26 2023

These 5/6 am shifts are really destroying my sleep schedule haha. As a result, I don't have anything for this section down here:

    1. Kenny and I reviewed the 2020 NBA Draft Class. We dive into the top ten picks and those that probably should have gone earlier
    2. Clippers talk (this was recorded when they were 0-6 with James Harden)
    3. Hawks Talk at the end: what we like, what we don't like about the season so far

  • Art of Ballin' 33: NBA Week 1 (Teams and Players That Impressed/Disappointed Us, Mr. E PrizePicks)
    Nov 1 2023

What is good peeps? I have a guest today, my boy Noa, aka Mr. E. by some, and today we run through the first week of NBA action and what has impressed us so far and who has disappointed us so far.

Further disclaimer: We are not gambling or financial experts. PrizePicks selections at the end are just for fun for Mr. E.

I, personally do not use PrizePicks but it's a segment included for my guest.

Thank you again for listening and tune in next week!!

  • Art of Ballin' 32 (1/2): More Wins/Less Wins
    Oct 24 2023

On this very special episode, I (Brian) discuss the Over/Under for the projected wins of each NBA team. I went in alphabetical order rather than by conference for completion's sake.

Less analytics in this episode, mostly vibes. Some of these young teams might surprise us this year while some teams that have been in the mix, might not be in the discussion this year.

This is just a two-part episode, so tune into the next part to hear the conclusion/other half of the teams.

Thank you again for listening and I hope to catch you next time. Weekly uploads on Monday this year (fingers crossed).

Double Upload!!!!!!! What is up good people? Double upload alert! It's ya boy Brian and today I have another guest on the 'cast, Dylan Bruton from the Beige Brothers podcast. You can find their content on YouTube under the channel "From The Ground Entertainment"

    1. We discussed the Damian Lillard trade and the overall fallout from all teams involved. Bucks and Trailblazers are mostly highlighted. The Suns are mentioned briefly, essentially they have a bench now and a center who does not complain
    2. As an extension of the conversation, we discuss the Jrue Holiday trade to the Celtics and what it could mean for them this season.
    3. The James Harden-Daryl Morey-centered turmoil in Philly is discussed

Yo, what's up good people? It's ya boy Brian and I got Kenny back on the cast! It was quite an eventful summer for the NBA right? Trades, signings, just moves in general.

In this episode, we have a pre-season tier list--starting from the bottom.

Bad/rebuilding: teams that either stink because they are young or teams that are bad because they do not have the right personnel. Typically no more than 30-35 wins.

Mid teams: these teams typically start the season with high hopes but are expected by one, or both of us, to not meet those expectations. 40-45 wins.

Good teams: this set refers to the teams that are playoff-bound. Could make it to the second round but would shock most if they made it past the second round (conference semifinals). 48+ wins

Dark horse: teams like this lack the contender quality, be it coaching, personnel, or "bad luck" (injuries, bad FO decisions, etc.). Otherwise would be contenders if not for the list above.

Contenders: teams that stand out as the best. Typically have one or more superstars and/or all-stars or all-star caliber players. Only an injury could set them back. Often has an MVP or MVP-caliber player.
