• Ep 23: Jackson Warne - Warnes Way
    Aug 17 2025

By what we all agreed was divine intervention, Jackson Warne joined us in studio for episode (wait for it) '23'.

Jackson and The Warne family are family to us, and as Jacko embarks on his new podcast project Warnes Way, we thought what better time to finally sit down for a yarn and share some stories. This was a genuinely great chat, Jackson shared many stories about his Father, Shane, while opening up about an array of personal reflections and topics.

You'll love this episode, I don't want to ruin it for you. Enjoy the show.

  • Ep 22: Ash Wicks from Two Doting Dads
    Aug 6 2025

This week we sit down with Ash Wicks, co-host of the hugely popular Two Doting Dads podcast. Ash has built a dedicated following by sharing the unfiltered reality of modern parenting – the sleepless nights, milestone moments, and everything that happens between.

Between the laughs, Ash opens up about his experience with postnatal depression, while I share something I've kept private until now – how an early miscarriage affected me and ultimately drove my desire to have this conversation with Ash today. You'll notice I'm more jumpy than usual, nervously laughing, qualifying my words before I've even said them and struggling to get my words out from start to finish – this is something that stress does to me often, but it felt important to leave it as it was.

Whether you're navigating parenthood yourself or have faced similar challenges, I hope this conversation adds something valuable to your day.

Ash is above all else a bloody fantastic bloke willing to take himself to very vulnerable places if it might help someone listening who might be going through something similar.

Hopefully it's a good listen despite my nerves getting the better of me - I really enjoyed it.

  • James Magnussen - Olympic Champion Turned Enhanced Games Athlete and OG 28er
    Jul 28 2025

In one of our most thought-provoking episodes yet, I sit down with former Olympic swimmer and more importantly: FRIEND OF THE SHOW-James Magnussen for a conversation that's been years in the making. When I reached out to James to say G'day, he casually drops that he's been following my covert faceless ramblings as 'the28yearoldmale' for years. So naturally, we figured it was about time to have a proper chat.

James is knee-deep in what might be the most controversial thing to happen to competitive sport since someone decided drug testing was a good idea: the Enhanced Games. Think Olympics, but athletes can legally juice up with steroids, peptides, and whatever other performance-enhancing goodies science has cooked up. Before you start picturing roided out monsters smashing in stringer singlets, James breaks down the surprisingly rigorous medical oversight that keeps this whole experiment from turning into unethical madness.

We get right into the weeds with it all, and James—who competed clean at the Olympics—makes some bloody compelling arguments about how enhanced competition might actually save traditional sport from itself. His take on where Olympic sports are currently failing to keep people interested are refreshingly brutal and probably overdue.

James was honest about the existential crisis that hits the majority of athletes when their Olympic dreams wrap up, the weird business of finding purpose after spending your entire life chasing the clock without much to show for it financially, and why he's chosen to poke the entire sporting establishment with a very sharp stick.

It's the kind of conversation that starts with performance enhancement and somehow ends up dissecting what it means to push human limits—both physical and societal. James doesn't dodge the hard questions what so ever, wasn't afraid to have a laugh at his own expense and probably solved world peace in there somewhere too.

A bloody interesting chat with a great bloke, hope you enjoy the listen

  • Dale Thomas: The Boy From Drouin
    Jul 17 2025

A very reflective Dale Thomas sat down this week to catch up old times with Clokey and Jim while Vedran suns his budgy smuggler lines in QLD. Daisy's achievements are almost too long to list; he found his way from the paddocks of Drouin in rural Victoria, to owning the MCG as a universally loved character, and becoming a premiership player at Collingwood in 2010 before embarking on a successful career in media.

We asked Daisy if we could go past the surface a little in this episode and his response was instant and emphatic. He was honest, and at times vulnerable reflecting on his journey, touching on his upbringing, how lucky he's been to have had certain mentors along the way, and his approach to addressing both his own mental health, and leading the charge in encouraging others to speak up and seek help.

It was a bloody good yarn, we also made him call a Horseless Peruvian Jockey Race, so as usual, we went everywhere.

Enjoy the episode and be sure to leave a review!

  • Tom Morris— Channel 9’s Chief Football Reporter and obscure athlete enthusiast
    Jun 25 2025

Channel 9’s Chief Football Reporter and obscure athlete enthusiast—Tom Morris joined us in the studio this week.

From what started with our desire to understand how media, and how the vastly different roles that exist within it operate, stemmed an honest and bloody insightful conversation.

From unpacking the realities of how stories develop, the new media landscape and ‘Scrapers’, to obscure cricketers, our proposed group ‘golf’ trip to Turkey, hand training and the art of the frame in.

It was a great yarn, and one you’ll leave with a much better understanding of both how journalism works, and Tom himself.
