  • Contracts - Should Your Band Have One? The Drummergy Podcast
    Feb 6 2026

Words of promise and hand shakes are fine until something goes wrong. Emails and texts MIGHT provide an additional layer of protection but having a written contract, an agreement between you and the venue, can protect everyone in the long run. Having a clear understanding of expectations is key. The problem is that most bands are not really "in" business......but that venue is! • Is It OK to Replace Your Singer? The Drummergy Podcast
    Feb 2 2026

Is It OK to Replace Your Singer? The Drummergy Podcast (from September 10, 2024) Some of the most famous bands in the world have successfully replaced their singers. Maybe they we're fired, or maybe they passed away. Sometimes the fans embrace the change while others criticize or completely abandon the band. Some would claim these people are the best in the business and assuming so much is at stake. So when it comes to replacing the singer of the local bar band, why is there so much hatred and turmoil? I'd say, no matter what level or what is at stake, nobody likes to be fired and nobody's wants to feel like a failure. It's impossible to see every possible situation but one thing we all can do is care about our abilities and willingness to be the best we can be. • Choosing to Move Forward. The Drummergy Podcast
    Jan 25 2026

Breaking my leg has been one of the most painful moments in my life! Not only did it immediately disrupt everything, all the momentum I had, I wasn't prepared for the recovery time. 3 months of not walking turned into 4 months. Wheelchair, walker, crutches, re-learning to walk, physical therapy, lack of sleep, and the mental anguish. Second guessing myself and self worth. I wasn't prepared, I don't think anyone is, of how is it is to have your spirit broken. I pushed hard to get through that, and still, a year and a half later as I type this description, I'm still occasionally struggling with it. So thankful I've always had music in my life and my love of drumming to help me. (from August 27, 2024) The Drummergy Podcast is live and interactive show about life and music.
