Summary

The Dark Razor Chronicles
A fantasy–science fiction podcast series

The Dark Razor Chronicles is a genre-defying saga of magic, ancient technology, gods, monsters, oaths, and war—a sweeping fantasy–science fiction podcast adapted from a twelve-novel series over forty years in the making.

This is a world where nothing stays buried.
Not memory. Not power. Not the past.

Forged before history, the Costa Novacula—the Dark Razor—is a soul-reactive weapon with hidden potential.
It is not cursed.
It does not thirst.
It waits.

Some believe it judges the worthy.
Others believe it simply reveals the truth.

Throughout the ages of humanity’s greatest empires, its greatest leaders, discoveries, and weapons—it was there.

The story begins with:

Sharael Maldeen — a woman betrayed, bent to task, Magis of the White Circle.

Cullen Aven — sworn to an oath his family no longer remembers, bound by loyalty and guilt, drawn toward something he cannot name.

They are searching for truth. Tangled in time. Hunted. Marked. Remembered.

Their fates are intertwined by something older than magic—older than time.

Morning in Marta’s house should bring relief, but too much has changed too quickly. A quiet start turns uneasy as Sharael faces herself in a way she never has before, while Cullen tries to measure danger closing in around the Dark Razor.

In this episode, Sharael and Cullen wake to a fragile calm after violence, share what they learned about the Razor, and try to prepare for the journey to Silandria. Breakfast with Cair, Shawn, Marta, and DagGar settles questions of route and rank, but the city is already shifting around them. When Cullen steps back into the street with the Razor at his side, public attention, old enemies, and spreading rumor make one thing clear: staying in Larose much longer is a risk they may not survive.

A long day of anger, doubt, and unfinished questions leads Cullen deeper into Larose after dark. When the temple’s pull returns and a voice finds him in the shadows, the danger turns intimate and unsettling.

Cullen tries to regain his footing after the shock of what Sharael revealed, but the city keeps offering distractions, warnings, and threats. A chance glimpse of the woman from earlier slips away, the temple steals hours from him without explanation, and a strange encounter in an alley brings Tonana Silvermoon close enough to test his judgment. Back at Marta’s boarding house, Cair Olosis finally speaks at length about the lost Razor, the Oath families, and what the world believes happened a hundred years ago. Above it all, Sharael waits with hurt she cannot hide and truths that still have not finished surfacing.

  • THE NAME OF DEA (S05E06)
    Apr 24 2026

New titles settle badly when the truth beneath them is still hidden. In the quiet after shattered vows and public power, Cullen presses for answers that Sharael cannot bear to give.

Inside Marta’s house, the meaning of First Parthis begins to take shape while the city answers the White Circle’s return in its own unsettling way. Cullen and Sharael circle the weight of rank, duty, and the title Dea, each question driving them closer to a breaking point. Outside, the Temple of Karakus looms over Larose, and an old warning waits on the path below it. By the time Cullen goes looking for answers on his own, the cost of truth has already begun to change both of them.
