• Special Episode: Domestic Violence Awareness Month
    Oct 19 2023

Somos Melanated Voices returns with a Special Episode for Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) commemorated in October. With the participation of Amra Marshall, Executive Coordinator; Jalona Webb, Legal Advocate; Meredith Matthews, Education and Outreach Manager; and Chío Núñez, Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer as a host, The Hive Team Members engage in a conversation guided by the Domestic Violence Awareness Project (DVAP) unified message: #1Thing. One person’s actions may seem insignificant, but collectively, all “#1Things” within communities can lead to fundamental social transformation.

With wit, passion, and honesty, guests share several #1Things our community in South Carolina can do to mediate the issue of domestic violence and the impact the organization has on survivors. We hope you enjoy the episode, inviting you to engage in conversation on all the #1Things communities can do to protect, prevent, raise awareness, and support survivors of domestic violence in the US.
