A shadow has been cast over Nigel Farage’s Reform party, as Nathan Gill pleads guilty to essentially being a – Russian asset, and traitor to his country. On 26 September, former Welsh Brexit Party MEP and Reform UK official Nathan Gill pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to accepting payments for making pro-Russian statements in the European Parliament. The eight counts of bribery relate to both television and appearances in public forums. He faces sentencing in November. These charges quite likely come with a custodial sentence. This is not a fringe political scandal, but the silence of the mainstream, mostly right-wing tabloid, media, owned by a handful of billionaires is deafening.
