I've been a Police Detective in Australia for in excess of 25 years and have been exposed to life threatening incidents and almost constant exposure to traumatic incidents ie. investigating child abuse, sexual and violent offences.

I've recently been diagnosed with PTSD.

On reflection I've struggled with PTSD for many years but have only recently started to get help as I got to the point that I couldn't function.

I'd really like to thank Tom for telling his story as it makes me feel better if a superhuman like Tom can suffer PTSD maybe it's ok for me.

Tom's insights into PTSD have been a huge help not only to me but my family who are on this journey with me.

I cannot recommend these episodes enough for those suffering PTSD or their families.
