Pride always leads to a fall—just as it did for Satan, Adam and Eve, and so many of us when we start boasting and comparing ourselves to others. With stories of St. Rose of Lima’s humility, and even a lesson learned the hard way on a wiffle ball field, we’re reminded that bragging only feeds the Red Dragon. The only true victory comes when we give the glory back to God.
