When you go on your first date, there will be uncertainties about this new person that you come to understand later by asking questions and spending time with them. In like manner, we can go to God with a heart open to learn of Him - go with your questions, go with thoughts about your day, enjoy the mundane activities with Him and see how your relationship with Him will flourish.

Prayer is such a beautiful concept that God introduced to us because He knew we would need it on this side of eternity. However, life has happened to a lot of us and caused us to live with calloused minds.

So, what do you do when your long-standing prayer points seem not to budge in your favour? Do you hope against all hope just like Abraham did or do you feign being okay so as to protect yourself from further disappointments and pain? Most importantly - are your prayers backed by belief or unbelief? Faith or doubt?

Today we are talking about prayer in a raw, honest and practical way and I hope it blesses and stirs faith in you. I hope it reminds you that God's word is forever true and that He can be trusted. I hope it shifts your focus to Him and away from anything else. Amen!
