Most mainstream podcast marketing advice is built around growing downloads, building community, and “monetizing later.” The monetization plan becomes something you figure out once the audience grows. But that strategy was designed for content creators who make money through ads, sponsorships, and volume.
It was not designed for business owners.
When you follow that model, you accidentally put your monetization plan at the end of your strategy instead of at the beginning of your funnel. And if you are trying to make money online as a business owner, that is backwards.
In this episode, I explain why that advice does not work when your goal is evergreen sales and sustainable revenue. I walk you through why starting with content instead of a buyer-ready offer leads to burnout, inconsistent income, and a show that feels busy but unprofitable.
If you want to grow your online business, your podcast cannot be built like a media brand. It needs to be built like a sales system.
That means before you start a podcast for business, you need clarity on your buyer-ready offer. You need to know what transformation you are selling. You need to design your episodes around moving listeners toward a decision. And you need to build your evergreen marketing strategy from the offer outward — not the other way around.
In this training, I show you how I flip the traditional model. Instead of asking, “How do I grow my podcast?” we start with, “What am I selling?” Instead of building an audience and hoping it converts, we design the podcast to support conversion from day one.
