Unfortunately, this is not the case in our public universities. A recent study reveals a pervasive culture of self-censorship fueled by fear of social ostracism and academic penalty. The result is an ideological conformity which stifles true intellectual freedom while graduating students who have had to sell their souls for academic survival.
