    • 2020 Easter Sunday Tornadoes: Fast forward to April 12, 2020, when a widespread tornado outbreak struck the Southeastern U.S. This outbreak produced 141 tornadoes across 10 states, tragically claiming 32 lives and injuring 257 people. We’ll recount the chaos of that Easter Sunday, highlighting the resilience of communities as they faced the dual challenges of tornadoes and subsequent flooding.

    The April 22, 2011, and April 25-27 tornado outbreaks were significant weather events that caused widespread destruction and loss of life.

    362 tornadoes were confirmed across 21 states during April 25-28, 2011 alone, with the most intense activity on April 27. The outbreak resulted in 324 tornado-related deaths, making it the deadliest outbreak since 1974. The states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee were particularly hard hit, with several EF4 and EF5 tornadoes causing catastrophic damage.

    These events highlighted the importance of severe weather preparedness and the need for effective warning systems to mitigate the impact of such natural disasters.
