The government have shocked everyone in England and Wales by outlining plans for 43 local police forces to become 12 regional ones in 5 years. The 2015 Leadership Review sought comprehensive changes in police leadership and culture at all levels. Now another review has been launched by the College of Policing to "conduct a comprehensive review of police leadership at all levels to ensure policing can respond to evolving threats and challenges and meet public expectations." And with an associated commission no less, led by former Home Secretary Lord Blunkett and former Policing Minister Lord Herbert.
