  • Is F1: The Movie a Mary Poppins story?!
    Jul 4 2025

Will non-Formula One fans fall for F1: The Movie? Can director Joseph Kosinski hit the heights of Top Gun Maverick?

In this week's episode, we’re joined by Nerd regular guest, Benny Watts, to review and discuss the Brad Pitt led summer blockbuster. Is it a winner? Only one way to find out…

Before we get to our feature discussion we discuss the latest news of Neil Druckman departing as showrunner from the HBO series, The Last of Us. A decision that no doubt leaves the internet, and the nerds, divided.

We also get a rather familiar look at the teaser poster for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic, The Odyssey, with the teaser trailer hitting exclusively in theaters!

Plus we have a handful of trailers, including Cannes Grand Prix winner Sentimental Value, Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, Project Hail Mary (starring Ryan Gosling), and Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest weird venture, Bugonia!

All of that AND what we’re into, which this week includes the game High Life and a lovely little comedy gem from earlier this year, The Ballad of Wallis Island!

It’s a loaded episode, with a great feature discussion! Be sure to check it out, follow and subscribe wherever you find your podcasts, including youtube. Don’t forget to leave your thoughts and comments!
