What happens when a well educated, long time citizen is appointed to the El Dorado County Planning Commission, and not long after, is dismissed by Supervisors not of her district, and apparent retaliation comes forth resulting in a law suit? This story is a must hear by everyone who is a citizen of any City or County, not just El Dorado County, California

On October 28, 2025 in a packed chamber, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors heard an agenda item on the Town and Country project which consisted of two large Hotel Units, a large Convention Center with amenities, and what could be up to 700 additional housing units in an undisclosed Planning Envelope. What would have resulted in a General Plan Amendment, we discuss what that means, and what the implications would mean long term for other land use decisions for development. With an end vote to move back the Planning Commission, we are not in the clear as of yet, so stay tuned and engaged.

In a complete violation of the Historical Value of the 2004 General Plan of El Dorado County, the Planning Department continues to push through projects that not only destroy the intent of the voter approved General Plan, it neglects the impacts on our water availability, traffic impacts, design structure and impacts on wildlife, and the nature of our open spaces. With the November 5th 2025 Special Election in California, all eyes are open once again on the issues at the local, state and federal level of Election Integrity. Most people think Agenda 21 is some made up "conspiracy theory" without really knowing what it is. Agenda 21 is a non-binding action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development.[1] It is a product of the Earth Summit (UN Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is an action agenda for the UN, other multilateral organizations, and individual governments around the world that can be executed at local, national, and global levels. One major objective of the Agenda 21 initiative is that every local government should draw its own local Agenda 21. Its aim initially was to achieve global sustainable development by 2000, with the "21" in Agenda 21 referring to the original target of the 21st century. In a recent Facebook Poll to El Dorado County residents and rate payers, of the recently released EID bi-monthly bills, 100% of those responding had increases anywhere from 10%-50% with many claiming equal to less usages than prior months. Citizens want to know WHY and HOW. Join in the discussion with former Grand Jury Forman, Gary Kinghorn, on a April 2025 Grand Jury investigation and report which gives a little insight to problems and behind rate payers knowledge increase approvals of 12% per year for FIVE YEARS.

Enlightening and engaging conversation with Lee Tannanbaum, President of the El Dorado County Tax Payer's Association will answer some of the questions on how a 1.3 Billion Dollar Budget, just still gives us a shortfall.
