  • Faith and film: Yamada talks creativity and spirituality

    Our host, Jae Koo, talks with Dean Yamada, an award-winning filmmaker and Professor of Cinema and Media Arts at Biola University. He is a USC graduate and his work has screened at top international festivals. His short, Jitensha, earned major awards and aired on PBS. His first feature film, Cicada, shot in Tokyo alongside students and alumni and won eight awards, including the Grand Jury Award at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. As an educator, he challenges students to find their voices and empowers them to tell their stories.
