    Our environments are an extension of us. If our home is cluttered or unfunctional, that's exactly how we feel. Counterly, if we have a space that's conducive and coherent to our values and priorities, harmony is created in how our time and energy is utilized.

    Navigating our home space is deeply personal and since we spend half of our lives within those walls, it's invaluable to set things up in a manner that supports what we wish for our lives to be.

    This was my longest episode to date! And also the longest duration I've went on an episode without speaking and not been irritated by it.

    Energy is a language without words. It speaks in feelings, directions, pushes and pulls. Understanding this language, like any other, is a skill that can be developed. Becoming fluent means the difference of being able to properly navigate, interact and tinker with your life or to free fall by default.

    An all encompassing soup, our life flows in the flavor direction of whatever type of energy momentum that we're seeped in. It is the placebo effect, both proving and disproving itself based on your beliefs.

    Just like brushing our teeth and choosing healthy meals, managing our energy should be a daily self care practice. If we're made up of the tiny habits we execute each day, grounding techniques, chakra clearing, aura cleansing and the like will regulate our nervous systems into calmness, patience, connection and contentment.

    There is no right or wrong way to practice energy work. Limited only by our mind and imagination, it takes no other tools to do the simple daily exercises required to grow this muscle.

    Can't wait to talk to Laura again when I'm feeling better and firing all cylinders.

    So many of us have climbed to the upper levels of Maslow's Pyramid only to realize we don't know what to do now. When we have tangible needs (food, water, shelter, etc) to strive for, it's easy to stay focused on what we need to be doing.

    When all of our physical needs are met, and all that's left is the mental and emotional, it can be harder to know where to turn. The cocoon of comfort we've created may very well be the reason for our depression.

    How do we balance comfort and discomfort for continued progress and growth?

    THAT, takes a little bit of discipline, but we shouldn't be doing anything alone. We're communal creatures and human connection is the solution to many (if not most) of our problems. Easier said than done, sure, but we're all learning together.

    Intentionality was the theme of this conversation. You could make a solid drinking game out of how many times it (& our guest's book) was mentioned. Although I don't know if a drinking game is the best use of our time if we're looking for progress and purpose.
