It's carnival season and in this episode of our podcast we bring you an expose on the Marple Runners Carnival Races:- the 10k Trail Race & Family Fun Run.

As the current Run Director it's an event close to Neil's heart so we hear about how the idea for the event came about from Andy Lord and it's development by Richard who was Run Director of the first 6 events. There was no Marple Carnival itself this year but that didn't stop Marple Runners delivering an 8th annual event so Mark took our roving mic down to meet Dennis, Minnie & the volunteers, and of course the winners and some of the 350 participants in this year's 10k event to capture just a little bit of Carnival Magic.

So this last month has seen a major change at Marple Runners; our Chair of 5 years has decided enough is enough, and has stepped down so we thought, now he's got more time on his hands, we'd give him some air time to tell us about his running career, initially leading the Club into the challenges of lockdown, and subsequently how he's nurtured Marple Runners to who we are today …and clearly he's nothing better to do than get roasted by a pair of clowns....so here it is, Episode Six, Gardening with Richard.

And following all the recent marathon success, we're joined by Eleanor for what was quite literally a marathon of a run celebration we almost ran out of tape.

It's Episode 5 of our Podcast so we invited along members of our Jeffing Group who have embraced, US Olympian, Jeff Galloway's run-walk training method.
