    I’ve added custom rules for scene structure and a Memory Trigger mechanic to drive the narrative and uncover my character's lost past. And after hitting a wall with the original rules, I'm playtesting my homebrew rules to fix the pacing. Then I'm diving straight into a Rift Closure quest to see if my homebrew combat system holds up. Spoiler: Ironstorm is still my best friend.

  • Session 5 (Days 32-45) - MIRU II: Solo RPG Actual Play

    This session covers my journey where the journey includes a tense duel with the slippery Black Hat (who escaped!), discovering the Radio Tower, and returning to the village to learn and train the new "Shoot & Swipe" skill.

    This all leads to the Day 45 cutscene, where my people reject me just as The God appears for a major showdown.

  • Riftbreakers 2E (Part 1) - Solo Playthrough

    I am officially diving into the solo rpg, Riftbreakers 2E!

    I start by walking through the character overview, going over my tall, scarred, and feral protagonist, Tessa Ward. She wakes up with zero memory, only her name and a burning, Type A need for control that quickly turns into pure rage.

    This session also covers the entire Twisting Paths prologue which is this awesome tutorial to walk you through a few of the basics of the game. And I end off on meeting the most unhelpful NPC in all of Kaethor, Fernelion Thren, who immediately became the target of Tessa’s secondary story arc: kill that unhelpful bureaucrat.

  • Session 4 (Days 22-31) - MIRU II: Solo RPG Actual Play

    This session of my MIRU 2 playthrough covers Days 22-31. My character's power is on full display as I one-shot two different androids during the "Blood & Bones" and "Nowhere Airport" encounters. However, the world is still brutal, as my "cursed ankle" gave me three minor injuries in a row, costing me three full days of travel!

  • Session 3 (Days 16-21) - MIRU II: Solo RPG Actual Play

    The journey starts with some creepy ruins and a lucky, combat-free encounter. Then, things get intense as I face a mutated android and get Poisoned for the first time!

    The main event is the Day 20 cutscene, where I discover the game's only Android Village. I spend two full days here, selling off my hoarded items, buying upgrades like Active Body+ and Inventory+, and learning the new Weapon Toss Tech Skill. I even use the Bit Dojo to fully level the new skill to Level 6 (auto-hit)!

  • Session 2 (Days 8-15) - MIRU II: Solo RPG Actual Play

    The journey continues through mountains, deserts, and swamps, including a friendly encounter with an Android village where I picked up a First Aid Kit and Signal Jammer.

    Things take a dramatic turn on Day 10 with a major cutscene: I meet a mysterious android ally, learn critical information about Rust, receive an Inhaler, witness her shocking death at the hands of The God, and face off against the winged machine for the first time! After the intense battle, I even claim a God Finger as a reward.

    The highs are followed by lows, as I suffer three Minor Injuries in a row, triggering the dreaded third injury event, resetting my stats, and costing me half my hard-earned bits! We finish off with a few more quiet days exploring ruins.

  • Session 1 (Days 1-7) - MIRU II: Solo RPG Actual Play

    Kicking off my playthrough of MIRU II! Picking up right after the cliffhanger ending of the first game, I'm continuing with my same character from Part 1! In this first session, I cover Days 1 through 7. We start the journey, explore some new terrain (mountains, grasslands), experience a few quiet ruins, and deal with the immediate appearance of the new God. The early days involve tracking its movement and a tense chase sequence leading to an escape.

    Compared to the deadly start of Part 1, these first 7 days felt surprisingly uneventful mechanically, which was unexpected! I also share my initial thoughts on some of the new mechanics, like the weather system.

    This series is mostly a personal archive of my playthrough, but since there aren't many MIRU 2 actual plays out there, I thought I'd share it.

    • The Drago Empire, a fading power clinging to old glory.
    • The Obsidian Oracles, exiled occultists dealing in forbidden relics.

    With the world taking shape, Anne finally gets her first taste of real danger. Docking at Valanu City, we roll on custom tables to see how this story begins — a Faction Move by the Hand sparks tension, and her contact Haruto Kimura sends her on a Cargo Run to deliver supplies to a hidden outpost.

    The job spirals into chaos: inquisitors close in, Anne’s dragon Fiddle swoops to her rescue, and the first threads of rebellion take root.
