    On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Alex Donno(@AlexDonno) from the Florida Panthers Radio Network and Locked On Canes to the show to break down the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs to take a 3-2 series lead back to Sunrise. The Panthers made a lineup change with bringing in Jesper Boqvist into the lineup, and after a tight first few minutes, the game started opening up and the Panthers started controlling the play, where they were able to help produce the first goal by Aaron Ekblad. It didn't stop there as the Panthers killed off Toronto's PP chance to start the second period and from there began the onslaught with three second period goals as the Leafs consistently broke the puck out poorly. The Panthers added some additional offensive zone time and it result in more goals ending up in the back of their net, including Jesper Boqvist's first career playoff goal off a 3-on-2. That was also his first goal since January 25th. Florida was also able to get goal right off the draws on multiple occasions, as AJ Greer also got his first career playoff goal. The scoring by committee approach continued as the Cats chased Joseph Woll after the fifth goal. The game got physical as Brad Marchand gave a smirk to Leafs fans chirping him as he went off the ice for a 10-minute misconduct, and the fans in Toronto started heading to the exits early and we saw a couple of jerseys being thrown on the ice after the loss for the Leafs. The key for the Panthers was once again stopping the Leafs stars as Auston Matthews was once again scoreless, which their only goal scorer came from Nick Robertson, who had not played in the series until Game 5. Now the Panthers will return home with a chance to end it and advance to their third straight eastern conference final.     Game 5 feels like more than just a fresh start for the Panthers

    On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday to preview tonight's Game 5 between the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The two start off with the health of Evan Rodrigues, as he was seen on the ice during practice on Tuesday, but his game status is still a bit up in the air. Also the guys give their opinions on Max Domi receiving a $5,000 fine after boarding Aleksander Barkov at the end of game 4. Panthers Minority owner Doug Cifu has been suspended indefinitely by the NHL for his behavior on X toward a Leafs fan, the guys quickly discuss their thoughts on that along with discussing the state of the special teams through four games. Lastly, Florida comes into game five with a different look, the wingers in the top six are switched (assuming Rodrigues is able to play), and a whole new fourth line will see their first action in Toronto after getting inserted into game 3. Now it's about matching what they did well in game 3-4, despite them getting different matchups with Toronto having the last change.     On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is joined by Frank Rekas(@FrankRekas) to discuss the Panthers' 2-0 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 4 to tie the series at 2. The Panthers were dominant from start to finish and were able to have the ice tilted in their favor as the Leafs shot themselves in the foot with penalties early on. It took the Panthers a while to get their power play going, but Matthew Tkachuk found Verhaeghe on a backdoor pass and Verhaeghe as the Cats got the first lead of the game. Florida gave Toronto very little to work with as Sergei Bobrovsky didn't have much action on his end. Toronto had very little breakaway chances, where Bobrovsky was able to stop William Nylander on one, and Matthew Knies completely misses the net on the other. It was still a tightly contested game despite the shot discrepancy being in the Panthers favor, but a disruption in the neutral zone gave the Panthers a two goal lead midway through the third period as Sam Bennett scored his fifth off a filthy move on Joseph Woll. The Panthers ended the game without Evan Rodrigues who went to the locker room in the third after getting interfered by former Panthers Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Tensions got high as Max Domi took a run at Aleksander Barkov at the end being called for boarding. Will he get suspended for Game 3.     On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Florida Panthers Historian, Francisco Oporta(@FLACatsHistory) to break down the Panthers' 5-4 OT win over the Toronto Maple Leafs as they cut the series to a 2-1 deficit. Florida trailed twice, 2-0 and 3-1, but three second period goals had the Panthers going into the third period with a lead. Florida was able to eliminate the Leafs speed in the second and third period and it helped them get to their game. A bounce that deflected off of Seth Jones and into the net had the Leafs forcing overtime. After the 10 minute mark in overtime, Florida was controlling play, and eventually it was Brad Marchand who ended it 15:27 into the first OT off the forecheck. All lines were a factor, including the fourth line where Maurice made a surprising lineup change ahead of the game putting in AJ Greer, Tomas Nosek and Jonah Gadjovich into the game, and it resulted in the go ahead goal in the second period. We discuss the three star of the game, when we knew the game was won, along with discussing what the plan is for the outdoor game and where the teams heads are at after the win.     On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Adam Lichtenstein(@ABLichtenstein) of the South Florida Sun Sentinel to the show to break down the Panthers' 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. It was not as slow of a first period for the Panthers as it was in game one, but the Panthers did get their fair share of penalty trouble in the first, the Cats however got the first lead of the game thanks to Aleksander Barkov, just 5 seconds into the PP. They would not go into the second tied as Max Pacioretty struck again getting a power play goal himself. After the Panthers got the first goal of the second period 15 seconds in from the third line, Toronto once again responded just over 4 minutes later off the rush. The Leafs rush chances continued to bite Florida as they got another one at the end of the second period to take the lead into the third. It was another counter punch for Toronto as the Panthers tied it at three just over 5 minutes into the third, but Toronto responded 17 seconds later thanks to Mitch Marner. It was another third period where the Panthers controlled play, but this time it did not feel as if the Leafs were on their toes. In fact, Toronto looked quite comfortable in getting in front of pucks and battling around the net front. Toronto also did not give in to Florida's mental games with the exception of a minutes after Evan Rodrigues getting called for embellishment. Florida has a chance to take the lead midway through the second period, but got zero shots on the power play.The Panthers had Mackie Samoskevich back in the lineup along with Aaron Ekblad, and at the start of the third period, Maurice did place Samoskevich back on the Bennett line to try to counter Toronto's speed, and had one of the best chances of the night, but Leafs Goaltender Joseph Woll stood tall to keep the one-goal lead. The two discuss their three duds of the game, when they knew the game was lost, and how there are no silver linings this time around as the series shifts to Sunrise.
