We discuss why the deal makes sense both for the player and the team. Bill Zito's calculations have worked as far as his ability to run it back, but with Samoskevich's deal being at the number it is, there's one thing that the Panthers are able to do, and it's a possibility of getting to 22 players while being cap compliant once the team is healthy, we break down the math. Samoskevich has a chance to really make an impact on the roster knowing that he is piece the Panthers could use as winger who can be plugged anywhere in the top nine, while betting on himself to get an even bigger deal come 2026.
