The Orladno Magic flipped their narrative with their Game 1 win over the Detroit Pistons. The whole league now views the Magic as a sleeping giant. But the message from the team is that the work is not done. They were shouting "Don't drink the Kool-Aid" following the win, a clear sign the team is hungry for more and not resting on the laurels of their first road Playoff win since 2019.

The Magic did a lot of things well in their victory. None more than Wendell Carter's lock out of Jalen Duren. That matchup would always prove pivotal with Carter needing to space the floor and keep Duren occupied on defense and the Pistons' lack of scoring outside of star Cade Cunningham.

Orlando as a team left a lot on the board in Game 1. While they played an excellent game, nothing felt out of the ordinary and there were clear areas where the Magic could play even better as they look ahead to Wednesday's Game 2.

The Orlando Magic needed to put their frustrating regular season far behind them as they started their Playoff journey. Now in the Playoffs, they are starting to fresh. And starting with a win.

The Magic stunned the top-seeded Detroit Pistons with another energetic and intense defensive effort as they set the tone early behind Paolo Banchero and finished behind Franz Wagner's closing kick. The Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic have been on similar development tracks for years and will finally meet in the Playoffs.

The Pistons put together a stellar season that has them as the No. 1 seed. They are rooted in their defense and physicality, a similar style the Orlando Magic want to play. But the Pistons are much more bought-in to their identity and have executed it far more consistently this season.

The Magic have an uphill climb as they are never sure which version of their team will show up or whether they can break down a good defense in the half-court. They will need a big series from Paolo Banchero, among others, to make this a competitive series and score an upset.

The Orlando Magic silenced their critics and doubters with a dominant 121-90 win over the Charlotte Hornets, punching their ticket to the Playoffs.

Everyone on the Internet was clowning the Magic, and especially Paolo Banchero, after their frustrating loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Back in the spotlight, the Magic set a forceful and physical tone from the beginning and never looked back after leading by 20-plus points and never really looking back.

The Orlando Magic felt their process and effort were fine in their Play-In game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Yet the result remains the same. The Magic could not get their best players going and everything just seemed hard as they could not keep up with the Philadelphia 76ers.

In the end, Tyrese Maxey's personal 7-0 run in the fourth quarter broke the game open, and Paolo Banchero and the Magic could not answer the bell. Everything for this Magic team is hard as all the troubles of the season collide in its dying breath.

The Magic now face a do-or-die game Friday against the Charlotte Hornets with everything on the line -- their future and most of all pride as they try to salvage a season once filled with so much hope.
