The Miami Hurricanes have landed a verbal commitment from four star wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw. The four star prospect from Phenix City, Alabama chose the Hurricanes despite interest from Auburn, FSU, Georgia, Texas and others. Upshaw put up huge numbers for Central HS last season with 59 catches for 1,185 yards and 15 touchdowns. He becomes the first committed receiver in Miami’s Class of 2025.

We are just two days away from five star cornerback DJ Pickett announcing his decision. The top cornerback in the class and top player from Florida will decide between Oregon, Miami and LSU. This recruitment has felt like a tug of war between the Hurricanes and Ducks. Who is trending? On3 Sports VP Steve Wiltfong said Monday on his “Whiparound” recruiting show that the Hurricanes could be in for a special week with their recruitment of Pickett and fellow top corner Jaboree Antoine. Wiltfong hinted that Miami might now be trending in front of the Ducks but that some big conversations will still be had between Monday and Wednesday. This one isn’t over.
