  • Folge 47 - Live at Agile Lean Europe 2025 in Munich - Part 2
    Aug 31 2025

In the second live special edition of Agile Lean Europe (ALE) 2025 in Munich, Ina Galinski and Carsten Rüscher, together with guests from the audience, delve deeper into key Kanban topics. In English, they discuss value streams in large organizations, unusual visualizations, practical tips and tricks, major "fuck-ups," and personal moments of success with Kanban.

    Topics & Highlights

    🌊 Value streams in corporations:

    • Opportunities & pitfalls in visualization – why different perspectives are worth their weight in gold.

    👀 Impressive visualizations:

    • From lipstick development to South Park cards – creative examples from practice.

🛠️ Tips & tricks for boards:

    • Why Definition of Ready/Done does not belong in separate columns, "Martins Gate," and gamification with stamps & sounds.

    💥 Biggest fuck-ups:

    • When Kanban boards suddenly look like Waterfall – and what coaches learn from it.

    🌟 Success stories:

    • The "spark moments": Teams realize that focus, flow, and transparency really work.

    Key takeaways

    • Value stream mapping creates transparency – but often also political discussions.
    • Unusual visualizations (AI images, physical boards with webcams, gamification) can inspire teams in new ways.
    • Tips & tricks: Keep boards short, avoid "spaghetti processes," work consciously with policies.
    • Failure is part of the process – every supposed "fuck-up" provides valuable learning opportunities.
    • Successes are often the simple things: when teams find focus, break down barriers, and experience real flow.

  • Folge 46 - Live at Agile Lean Europe 2025 in Munich - Part 1
    Aug 29 2025

From 27th to 28th of August 2025, the Agile Lean Europe 2025 took place in Munich. Lots of agile and lean enthusiasts meet for three days of common learning, sharing ideas and talking about the their business (and maybe private) lives.

As an unconference (barcamp), the participants are creating their own agenda and so, Ina Galinsky and Carsten Ruescher opend the possibility to record a live episode. Before the recording started, all participants have had the possibility to write down their questions about Kanban and all the thin(g)(k)s around. These questions cam into a Kanban board and were answered by Ina and Carsten, live, without any possibility for research.

After around 35minutes, the session was over, but not every questions was answered, so the idea for a second session was born and will be part 2 (or episode 47).

Thanks to all participants who joined our session and gave us their questions. We are very thankful, have had you in the session and gave this episode its own flavour.

  • Kanban in der Praxis - 2025
    Jul 29 2025
