    6. It carries a negative sense — not simply being afraid but being faithless or unwilling to stand firm.

    7. Deilós only appears a few other times in the New Testament, always in the Gospels, when Jesus rebukes the disciples.

    8. God consistently calls His people to courage, not comfort.
