  • What Happened to Neeza Powers? Full Story & Update | The Jesus People Podcast Episode 71
    Apr 30 2026

This is a hard podcast for me to make.

I’ve found myself publicly part of this story, and I believe it’s right to speak to it with clarity, honesty, and love.

In this video, I walk through the full timeline of my relationship with Neeza—how we met, what I saw, the conversations we had, and how we got to where we are now. I also share what I’ve learned about platforming people, the weight of influence, and the spiritual realities that come with it.

I had two phone calls with Neeza yesterday. They were hard conversations. I share parts of those here with his permission.

I also want to be clear about something: this was not a grift. This was not about money. This was not a setup. Conspiracy-driven comments are not helpful and they are not true. This is a real person on a real journey—and our first response should be to pray.

This video is not about tearing someone down. It’s about telling the truth, taking responsibility where needed, and calling all of us—myself included—back to the fear of the Lord and obedience to His Word.

We all have areas where Scripture confronts us. Areas where our desires don’t align with God’s design. Those are the places we’re called to surrender, to pick up our cross, and to follow Jesus.

I also speak directly to Neeza in this video.

Brother, I love you. I’m here for you. And I’m praying for you.

If you’re watching this, I would ask:

    * Pray for Neeza * Be careful how you speak * Examine your own heart first * And hold both truth and love together

“The fear of the Lord leads to holiness, and the kindness of the Lord leads us to repentance.”
