With a small team, he crosses into a magical snowglobe realm, confronts the Quiet Wind that has been trapping laughter, songs, and bells inside the Echo Vault, and learns it’s stealing sound out of fear that joy will fade. Milo uses the lantern’s light to free the trapped sounds and helps transform the Quiet Wind into the Jingle Wind, restoring Christmas cheer—then the story ends with the town jingling again and “Merry Christmas” to the reader.
