Juniper Gray discovers Pinecone Hollow’s clocktower is tracking a missing Christmas Comet, and she, her dad, and her friend Ollie are led to an inventor’s abandoned workshop where they meet Comet-Unit Seven, a talking clockwork reindeer. They find Mr. Vellum injured near the sky’s “Gloom Knot” and learn the comet is trapped, so Juniper uses a heartfelt, giving wish to loosen the knot while the others power the Star Engine with a key to pull the comet back onto its path.
