We’re joined by Nichole Lee of Total Wellness Nutrition, and her story is one of unexpected motherhood, resilience, and redefining what “the plan” looks like.

Nichole went from preparing to adopt twins… to finding out she was pregnant.

  • Bonus Episode: The Conversations Every Parent Needs to Have (But Doesn’t Know How to Start)
    Apr 3 2026

Today’s episode is such an important one—especially for parents.

We’re talking about the conversations that so many of us know we should be having with our kids… but don’t always feel confident starting.

I’m joined by two incredible guests, Mary Flo Ridley and Megan from Birds & Bees, an organization dedicated to helping parents navigate conversations around bodies, boundaries, and other topics that can often feel uncomfortable but are so important.

Mary Flo has spent over 30 years equipping parents with the tools and confidence to have these conversations in a way that is age-appropriate, healthy, and rooted in connection.

This is something that is really important to me as a mom—because I want my kids to always feel comfortable coming to me, and I know that starts with creating open and honest communication.

💛 In This Episode, We Talk About:
Why these conversations matter more than we think

The biggest mistakes parents make when approaching these topics

When to start talking to your kids (hint: earlier than you think!)

The one conversation every parent should have sooner rather than later

What to say when your child asks something that completely catches you off guard

    🧠 A Few Takeaways You’ll Love:
You don’t have to have all the answers—you just have to be willing to start

These conversations don’t have to be one “big talk." They can happen in small, everyday moments

Creating a safe, open environment is more important than saying everything perfectly

  • Episode 4: Motherhood Then vs Now… Over Margaritas 😂 🍸
    Apr 1 2026

In today’s episode, we’re having some fun… sitting down with margaritas on a Monday and having some fun. 🍸

We kick things off with one of Jenni’s signature gratitude timestamps—because whether it’s a big milestone or a simple moment like this, there’s always something to appreciate.

Then we dive into what so many of you have been asking for…

👉 the real differences between motherhood then vs. now.

From parenting styles to mom guilt to the things that would definitely get judged today we’re unpacking it all with lots of laughs along the way.

    😂 What We Talk About

    • The things moms today do that make previous generations say… “wait, what?”
    • Why “gentle parenting” wasn’t exactly a thing back then
    • The parenting choices that somehow worked… even if they wouldn’t fly today
    • The story of why Jenni was once put on a leash as a toddler (yes, really 😂)
    • Growing up with ADD and how parenting approaches have evolved
    • Why mom guilt feels so different today compared to the 90s
    • The reality of working moms, daycare, and how life used to look
    • Why you don’t have to fix everything for your kids
    • The importance of letting kids figure things out on their own

    🍸 Haute Mama Q&A

We also answer some of your questions, including:

    • Who actually choreographs our dance routines
    • Advice from mom that felt silly then—but means so much now
    • How we’ve maintained such a close relationship over the years

  • Episode 1: Why We Started the Hey Haute Mama Podcast (And the Journal Entry That Gave Me Chills)
    Mar 25 2026

Hey Haute Mama's! Recently my mom and I posted a video of us dancing together in New York City to Taylor Swift… and somehow it ended up getting over 60 million views. And the funny thing is, that moment pretty much sums up our relationship. We laugh a lot, we don’t take life too seriously, and we genuinely love having fun together.

But there’s also a deeper reason this podcast means so much to me.

My dad passed away last year, and not long ago I found one of his journals from 2004. In it he wrote one sentence that completely stopped me: “I want to tell Jenni about the future of her gifts and talents and how to be vulnerable like show host Johnny Carson:

And I have no idea why he wrote that… but reading it gave me chills.

Because here I am today starting a podcast that’s all about sharing stories, being vulnerable, and helping people find more joy in life.

And if there’s one thing I truly believe, it’s that the amount of joy we experience often comes down to the perspective we choose to see.

So if you’re looking for real conversations, a lot of laughs, and maybe a fresh perspective on motherhood and life… you’re in the right place.
